Really, really happy that nothing has happened today. The amount of security precautions made it feel much safer (and apocalyptic), but I was not excited about this, even though I've hardly had to leave our hotel... which is outside the zones, but surrounded by temporary fencing.tennbengal wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 9:35 pmYour outfit putting this on? Yeah, making it down to you went sideways when the insurrection happened. Glad it has come off for you guys. Safe travels home.

A message from from 3 former presidents transitions to...Demi Lovato. Cool.

Are all the National Guard troops still sleeping in the Capitol?
Let's hope they don't get their PTSD triggered from the explosions going on in DC.

Wait. Is this an active military vs national guard jab?
My gall is sufficiently mitigated. Thank you for your concern.
Re: Happy Inauguration Day (and beyond- The Biden Presidency Thread part I)
It wasn't...I was just thinking out loud that more troops are deployed to the Capitol right now then the Middle East and some of them could've been involved in some shit on an actual deployment.

Oh. I took it as guys who signed up for national guard haven’t really been exposed to live fire. But I don’t know how the Guard gets its people.
My gall is sufficiently mitigated. Thank you for your concern.
Re: Happy Inauguration Day (and beyond- The Biden Presidency Thread part I)
Oh no. They have. Between Guard, Reserve, and Active Duty deployment taskings, the Active component actually deploys less than the other two. It's all about funding, activation, and other Title 32 (I think that's the right title) to Title 10 rules.A_B wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 10:17 pmOh. You simply cannot have a chunk of the active component gone all the time and that's where the other components come in. They do lots of work and don't typically get enough credit.

Pitt, Dicaprio and Norton too old for this group. Seth Rogen is already part of the Apatow crew. My vote is Paul Rudd.

Unpopular but Rudd too old too even if he doesn’t look like it.
Plus he’s apatow as well.
It’s a good discussion!

A scan of tweets indicates many people are blaming antifa. But I have serious doubts it was them.

This might be the answer. Momoa seems a little too brutish for our rat pack.

There was an Englishman, though. And a 5'5 guy named "sammy".

I feel like you undercut yourself here by suggesting a Canadian can pull off the same level of cool refinement as an Englishman.
You got mister d though. Haha.

If Sammy Davis Jr. were the type to change his name to Rocco Power versus just embracing who he was, he wouldn't have been in the Rat Pack.
Re: Happy Inauguration Day (and beyond- The Biden Presidency Thread part I)
Confirmed because CNN and the new admistration that wants to deflect says it? Or was it the infamous "sources" that they cite. Come on dog. You realize CNN is as much a lefty mouthpiece as Fox is right.
