500. I wan't happy about the Samoan v. Fijian. Way too similar. Or Bosnian v. Slovenian, I guessed Slovenian right, as it sounded Slavic and I thought Bosnian may be more Arabic sounding due to the Muslim influence. Who knows. The other problem (for me) is the languages I've never heard of.

A few things:

If it was a woman's voice and it sounded like it was from the news, I picked the country that would most likely be cool with that. Thanks, Hungarian!

I knew too many Filipinos and Koreans while on the peninsula. If there are words that didn't end in -yo or have a clicky nature to them, I went with whatever wasn't Korean or Tagalog.

Everything else was pretty hard to decipher. I pretty much thought "That sounds like a white person. I bet he isn't speaking [language of non-white person] country. Let's try the other one."

Got lucky on at least one correct answer. Failed to identify Thai. Failed to identify Lao. Not sure I ever even heard of Shona. Never would have identified it. Those African languages all sound alike to me.

500 on the second try. Lost my last life trying to discern between Slovak and Slovenian (so Steve would've gotten at least 550).

Yikes. Didn't do nearly as well the second time through (450). Also tripped on Slovak and Slovenian. And South Efate -v- Tagalog? Damn! Wow, that's tough sometimes.
