When my youngest was very small we read that book to her. When she could talk she "read" it to us. Of course, she was reciting what we said but it was still neat.

He had a good run there in the 60s and 70s, from being a regular on McHale's Navy to being a regular on The Mary Tyler Moore Show to being the captain of The Love Boat.

Strange headline. He wasn’t even the first to have a hit with that song, and I think he was much more famous for “Raindrops keep falling on my head”, which was the featured song in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”.

Apropos of nothing, anyone who likes the Ooka-Chaka version of the song better, that's a sign that they're not my kind of person.

I didn't say that I preferred the Oooka-Chucka Ooka Chucka version, but I do think that song is more associated with the band that did that version than with B.J. Thomas.

My father had this album on 8-track. It that got a lot of play in the car and this song will occasionally pop into my head after all these years.
