Smart Watches Not Apple

I'm an Android phone user (Pixel 5) and looking for a compatible smart watch. I'm looking for something that I can get notifications and possibly send texts & take calls like you can on an Apple watch. I am leaning towards Garmin because I like their built in GPS/map functions. Anybody have any experience or suggestions?
I would like expensive whiskey.
We only have beer & wine...
What am I, 12?

No experience with Garmin for this use, but I'm a huge fan of their watches for running, swimming and biking. They hold up really well.
Until everything is less insane, I'm mixing weed with wine.

I bought a ticwatch during prime days a year or 2 ago it is okay. Garmin's were on sale for prime day.

i have the Samsung.. and a pixel 4.. pretty happy with it.
