Re: The Pot Thread
Of course! Probably not the healthiest thing considering the strong taste of aluminum. Reminded me of the time I was home from college, drinking in my friend's backyard. His little sister (5 years younger) came out with a bunch of her friends, asked for an empty beer can, made a bowl and lit up like a champ. I remember when their parents brought her home when she was born, so that one freaked me out a bit.

Coke cans, apples, carrots, toilet paper rolls, asthma inhaler cases (irony?), you name it. We smoked out of it. For a while the only place to buy bowls was in Georgetown at a place called Electro-Max.

I'm sure they checked this and all, but feel like PurpleUrkle wouldn't be allowed. Like could John Ritter have made a TripperRipper strain?

Beg for forgiveness not ask for permission. The marketing part is done.

I haven’t any weed in like seven weeks or so. Strangely don’t really miss it. Of course I’m still buying some when I get back to Vegas.

Ten minute walk from my house. Two doors from another weed store, in a row of stores that includes a bagel bakery, a tiny synagogue, a Philippine variety store, a bad sushi place, a third weed shop and a vet.

Just bought weed (legally) from a guy I went to high school with who owns a dispensary in my hometown. What a world.

So what was the other formerly illegal thing you did in Battle Creek? I showed surprising restraint in laying off a prostitution joke on Facebook.

Get to buy legally in my 5th state on Sunday! I could make it 6 the first week in July, but the prices at the Peoria dispensary are outrageous.

I have no bearing for this. I bought some materials in MI 2 weeks ago and have no idea what things should cost.

From what I could tell at the one closest to where we'll be, they were comparable to Colorado/Cali/Nevada.
That reminds me I haven't checked with you about any possible availability late afternoon Saturday. I think that's when we'll be driving through. It's been a crazy month and this trip has snuck up on me.

Re: The Pot Thread
That's hilarious. What I want to know, when the hell am I going to be able to buy in NJ? I knew it was going to take time, but after 9 months, I haven't even heard a plan to start sales, other than watching citizens freak out at my town council meetings that if we allow a dispensary in town, we'll have drug addicts passed out in the streets stacked 3 bodies high for miles.

Just saw this since I was traveling a lot during this time, but I was impressed by MI prices. Lower than NV, but not as good as CO/WA/OR. Michigan really seems to have done it right and let the free market deal with prices unlike NV where the number of dispensary licenses is still extremely regulated.Giff wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 4:03 pmFrom what I could tell at the one closest to where we'll be, they were comparable to Colorado/Cali/Nevada.

My goofy hometown (Battle Creek) might literally have more dispensaries per capita than just about anywhere else in the country. I'm not even really joking. On East Michigan Avenue near where I grew up there are like five or six dispensaries in a three-mile stretch.

That's where I stopped! Hit up Michigan Supply & Provisions, then got a Faygo next door. Good stop. If you would have went 1 mile east of there you would have passed by my high school and 1.5 miles east of that is the house I lived from 10 years old through college.Giff wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 2:04 pmThat's where I stopped! Hanging around the roof of the hotel and impossible to know who is coughing from the weed smoke and who has covid. Smells like weed so benefit of doubt but does it really matter. Shot and outside I guess.

Yeah, we were out on the lawn Saturday night and a group next to us offered me a hit. Considering they looked like the poster children of who you think of when you think of people who aren't getting vaccinated, I declined.

Re: The Pot Thread
They're not all the same, but they're not super, super different in quality if that makes sense. As far as I'm aware, there's not some super gold standard pen that would justify spending more than the standard $10 to $20 that a pen should cost in the store or online.
Still, there are some things to look for though.
Some pens have variable wattage, meaning you can burn more oil for a bigger hit. Over the years, I've found that's mostly not a big deal.
Some pens are activated by pressing a button and then drawing for a hit. These days I prefer the pens that are activated by simply inhaling so I don't have to worry about the button getting pressed while the pen is in my pocket.
Some pens you get longer use out of a single charge. Frankly, there's probably no good way to tell this before you buy I'm afraid. Just something you have to use word of mouth/reviews for to determine.
If you're in the market, they're cheap enough it might be worth considering buying a couple, especially if they're in that $15-$20 range that they should be (any more is probably a waste of money as near as I can tell) to get an idea of what you like and don't like.
