I know there used to be quite a strong Newcastle contingent in the swamp (is there still?) - at any rate - Newcastle really fun going forward that half versus West Ham. Good consistent pressure applied and quite intentional counters and build-up.

Son is the best.

He's got to be the most likeable PLer for a neutral.

We’re still here. Scoring twice in the fist half isn’t a feeling with which I am familiar. But I am not as annoyed with this defeat as I am of most. Lacells and Scharr we’re on the bench. After giving up the second lead (I know how that sounds) the gave up a ok and a 4th. I’m still very cautiously optimistic they can stay up this year. ASM was just dirty in the 1st half.

I haven't seen Spurs play that strongly for a couple of years now.

And honest to God, seeing someone other than Mourinho on the sideline was such a joy.

And speaking of Managers who need all the money in the world in order to win...

From the Amazon Hard Knocks show I just got a giggle when Jose M. said 'Sonny". But for the series Son came across extremely well. Just seems to be a great person in the locker room (outside of his clear talent on the field).

As you can imagine, Spurs fans are not pleased with Harry Kane.

Harry Kane has just set his last bridge at Tottenham on fire

Danny Ings with the goal of the season so far. Amazing technique. Wouldn’t surprise me if it wins next spring.

I think I speak for garyclark, boxcar, and Steve when I say “fuck off, sabo.”

(But it really was a great goal, albeit set up by piss poor defending on a goddamn throw-in. I’m just pissed about NUFC shipping 6 in two games and not getting that pk today based on a questionable VAR offsides reversal.)

I can't remember when a team like Wolves today so dominated the game yet didn't even score.

They looked the better team, but "domination" is a bit strong. Traore epitomized their efforts today - unstoppable until it came time to shoot or pass, then he was not up to the task (save for once).

Spurs kind of lucky today, but Wolves look like a solid 13th place team at best.

I was hoping to catch a glimpse of the beer that flew past James as he ran to the corner. Looking at that pic, imagine how great it must feel to score a goal and looking into the crowd like that.

This guy sounds like a complete psychopath... and a complete moron.

From the Guardian:
Mendy was originally arrested and released under investigation on 11 November last year on suspicion of rape. In January, he was further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, the court was told.

Byrne said one of Mendy’s bail conditions was that he should not have house parties. She said police were called to a party attended by up to 21 people at Mendy’s home in the Cheshire village of Mottram St Andrew this week. He was then arrested over a further allegation of rape and for allegedly breaching his bail conditions, the court heard.

This is why we can’t have nice things. They should have had at the very least 3 points by the international break. It was bitterly disappointing to watch today’s result.

Traore absolutely blasting a cross attempt into Luke Shaw’s dick for a corner is a 99th percentile non-City PL event for me.
