Too bad this game isn't on CBS, I'd be curious to hear Charlie Davies' take on this.

Mexico goes up 1-0 on a penalty away at Costa Rica. I watch way too much mediocre soccer if I immediately knew both the guy who committed the penalty (Everton legend Bryan Oviedo) and the ref who called it (Ismail Elfath of MLS).

Re: World Cup 2022 - Qatar
Fucking McKennie, man. I don’t care if they hold him out of next match too assuming this was legit violation and not some stupid “he met a delivery person in the lobby 5 minutes past curfew” or something.

By that you mean, he will have two touches?
Man, do we look slow so far.

Turner is making a legit case for the #1. He may not be in Europe but his value and chance for Europe keep going up.

Looks like Canada has 14 men on the field defensively.

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but Lleget was the best player first half.

No shit.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Ricardo Pepi should be in this game.
Re: World Cup 2022 - Qatar
Adams and Miles are giving this team a huge margin for error—time to take advantage!

We get to automatically qualify when the Cup is here in 2026, right?

Re: World Cup 2022 - Qatar
Fucking embarrassment. Nothing going forward, looked shaky as fuck defending on the break. This team has way too much talent to look this lifeless and out of ideas. Gregg has to change the tactics or formation when they can’t break down the defense. And obviously make a fucking substitution when your team is tired and momentum swings the wrong way. WTF is he thinking?

Re: World Cup 2022 - Qatar
I get the injuries/suspension but JFC two MLS in the midfield is annoying. Does our middle talent hinder our top talent or is it totally strategy or what because we didn’t at all look threatening?

They can’t allow US,Canada and Mexico all qualify automatically, can they? It’s FIFA, so I guess anything is possible.tennbengal wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 9:08 pm We get to automatically qualify when the Cup is here in 2026, right?

Thank you Kazan, we're off to Cardiff to see some people from Tallinn
Re: World Cup 2022 - Qatar
I said it in the heat of the moment last night, and after a full night of sleep and a coffee to clear my head I still stand by it: I should be the manager.

But it was Aaronson who called the Canadian tactics cowardly

"Cowardly?"
Teams have been playing like that on the road probably since the first soccer game ever played.
Time to back up the waaahmbulance.
