From what I've read, this upcoming episode and the XMAS episode were created when Apple changed their order from 10 episodes to 12 episodes. I'm enjoying this season also. I wasn't a huge fan of last week's episode either, but it still made me laugh out loud more than once.

I thought the Beard episode was interesting and fun. Threw a lot of artsy things at the wall. Some of them stuck.

Reminded me of The Fly episode on Breaking Bad. A diversion that didn’t move along the overall narrative.

ETA - somebody may have already noted this but just read that the writers of Season 2 originally wrote the season with 10 episodes, and then Apple expanded it to 12. That put them in the position of adding two episodes that wouldn't interfere with the ongoing plots. This one and the Christmas one are those two episodes.

Maybe part of my antipathy is due to the fact that the character is the least important one to the show. And that actor has the range of a writer.

Anybody watching the new Scenes from a Marriage on HBO? I'm captivated by the experience so far despite it being emotionally draining.

I have not seen the original...has anyone else? Would you recommend?

I saw it as part of a course on the films of Ingmar Bergman.

Great for Houston. Curious that they choose a Texas location after the abortion law. David Simon is moving his new HBO series (whose story is based in Texas) out of Texas because of it.

Good on David Simon, but I really hope it's not still going to be a show based in Texas. I love seeing mountains where there ain't none and desert where there are forests in movies about Texas that aren't filmed here.

Didn't find any chatter on "Only Murders in the Building" on the 'lu. Just watched Ep1 and liked it a lot. I always forget that Martin Short seems like the kind of guy who's annoyingly "always on" but is also a really good actor. Steve Martin obviously rules. Selena Gomez is really good too.

Reservation Dogs is amazing.

If you read a summary of what the episodes are about, it would sound like a heavy drama, but it's not. Absolutely hilarious, great characters and just perfectly done.
