Did you ever see the episode of 30 Rock with Jon Hamm, where he's the guy who is living 'In The Bubble'?

We make jokes that Robin is living 'In The Bubble' (but she does work very hard, and she is good at what she does).

In Sancarlos' defense, Our Gang/Little Rascals was well after his childhood, so he isn't as familiar with the characters.

It is a great name. There’s an interesting story behind her name. And that story begins on a St. Patrick’s Parade Sunday in 2004 in a Bayonne tavern. I may or may not have played a significant role in this story. There was a contract between Mrs Rass and Rass that Mrs. Rass tried to have destroyed at some point.

Bottom line: I am very proud to involved in her naming.

Last Thursday, first round of the county tournament - the boy told his team he would miss the game (he is their top scorer by far) as he wanted to go meet his baby brother (yes, he is here!)
The team won. He went to practice on Friday.
Today they played round 2 -- vs the local catholic HS.. several of the boys he played with in Travel for years start on that team.. it was nice catching up (and sharing news and pics) with parents on the side..
ugly game
refs (two in HS) were each calling their own version of the game, both with home tendencies.. the boy was getting beat up and roughed up and getting no calls. has a bruised right arm to show for it.
all game long he got pulled down and pushed down and fouled and called for offsides (he wasn't but one time, i've seen the video.. which of course i shot).no matter. He scored the game winner.
a poxy goal really. shouldn't have gone in. but it did. right between the keeper's legs.
one of his friends got hurt in the game (broken thumb, bruised ribs) he stayed with him until his teammates called him back (kid was wearing opposing colors)
in the end, he sought out his ex teammates and shook hands. even found one of the dad's (from our sat pick up games) and shook his hands. should be a good crosstown rivalry for next three years -- he beat them in track and now beat them in soccer.
in 11 games, 13 goals, 6 assists and 3 hat tricks.

only pics shared have gone to family -- and the few parents on the sidelines, they saw on my phone
the mrs hasn't shared it on social media.. expect she will tomorrow.
my dad shared a few pics and i had to ask him to take them down.
he is perfect. Beautiful kid.
The boy (Sebastian) is good.. 7.7, so a full 2lbs smaller than his brother. quiet kid. completely different. great temperament.. had a bit of high bilirubin.. spent 12 grueling hours under the blue light. that sucked. almost didn't get released on sat. but we came home. folks came yesterday. first doc appt is tomorrow, hopefully we get good news
the mrs is ok. tired, cranky and pained. (csection) but she's getting through it.
i've done all the overnights (1130,230,530) since saturday. so i'm cranky too - but i've scotch (although will need to replenish before too long)

Not to take away from the parental crowing but that guy skipped college to get charged with healthcare fraud while out on bond for a(nother) gun charge awaiting his now denied appeal. Ridiculous. Guy could have had a paycheck for life in some college town. Hope he knows someone to visit in whatever backwater prison town he gets sent to.

New dads are "losers" for taking parental leave.

An opinion shared by supergenius Joe Rogan, whose own company allows six months of paternity leave.

Set aside how stupidly these Republicans like Rogan feel about gender roles, what is the obsession with "work, work, work, work" these meatheads have? Why wouldn't you want to enjoy some paid time off work for its own sake, not only to spend important time with your newborn?

Well they're talking about 6 months right? Is that too much? Differing opinions id think. Many or most are ready to get out and away from baby by three months or three weeks even.

And people are trying to get rich. 6 months off work ain't the way to get rich. Just a matter of what you value. Time with a baby that won't remember or cash. Me, I'd sooner the time but that's cause I have the money I need. I certainly wouldn't want to pay my employees to do that. Not even a day really. Well maybe 2 weeks. Truthfully I'd feel ok paying female employees for a period of time to recover medically but not male ones. Maybe thats wrong?
