Gout sucks - do you guys have colchichine prescriptions? It helps.

Colchicine rules. The explosive diarrhea it causes isn’t great, but it’s better than gout.

I take Allopurinol daily...have for years now. I have a supply of Indomethacin that I take when I get a flare up.

I tried taking Colchicine a few years back, and it did really nasty things to my insides.

Well, that streak is over. That dirty bitch has flared up in my right foot and it hurts like a mofo. No idea what caused it, I didn’t eat any beef, which is usually my trigger.

Yow. That sounds horrific. Good luck with that!

In less traumatic news, I’ve been getting sinus headaches every day for about a month now. Taking Flonase and ibuprofen every day works, but I’m tired of it. Checked with my doc and he seems unworried.

Yep, OTC sinus meds and netipot. I used to get a sinus infection or two every year, and get nearly daily sinus headaches during allergy season. Haven't gotten an infection since.

I'm pretty certain I have some level of misophonia. I've hated/reacted to unpredicted noise my entire life, but a certain new-ish dog has an insanely loud and abrupt and all too frequent bark that sends me into a (usually internal) rage almost every time. Its not as bad outdoors, but indoors I can go from perfectly normal to incensed in an instant. Everything I read says there's really no treatment or cure, but I assume someone here has advice that can top "wear your noise cancelling headphones at all times".

It's a real thing I've struggled with for years. As I understand it there's a possible overlap with ASD in some cases.

Unfortunately I can't give you any better advice than trying to minimize the impact of the noise. I wear these about 80% of the time I'm at home if you'd like to give them a try.

Do you have specific things that set you off or is it all noise? I don't think I could get away with earplugs due to the kids and honestly its not frequent enough to justify that. I just need a half measure that works perfectly.

Was sitting at my desk the other day and my leg fell asleep so I stood up and started shaking it and accidentally kicked the chair and... broke my toe.

So today I went for an X-ray and, had I used my insurance, the cost would've been $1400, with me responsible for $400. I took the option of bypassing insurance and paying them directly for a whopping $95 total. Shit is messed.
