Doesn't look like they're straying very far from what made the movie so great, so...sure, I'm in.

I like that he got better with guns.
And I hope it comes out that Larry Fishburne skipped the Matrix sequel for this.

Jeff Tweedy, solo musician and frontman of Wilco: I don’t think of it like any other viewing experience I’ve had in my life. It’s really kind of intense and bizarre. … I spontaneously burst into tears a few times just being able to see the exact moment a take I’ve listened to a thousand times was put down.

I'm now halfway through this and it's so good and maddening at the same time. And like most things in this country, nothing significant is ever going to happen to the ones with the money.
How do you all get your death notices since I left?

Re: Television (no longer temporary)
Finished Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) last night. Man, that has to be the most detailed writing of a plotline in the history of television. First couple episodes of the final season were super intense with action, but I had a hard time getting into it. Part of the problem was I binged the first 4 seasons, then had to wait a year, and kind of didn't care for a bit. Then the flashback scenes were incredibly well done and those plots were interesting and made me care again. The final twists were so well done, I thought it ended beautifully.
It's such a unique show. Crazy action scenes and really cool heists, but then all the character development is done through flashbacks that make everything you saw so much better. I feel the need to go back and rewatch, because some characters just aren't what you thought when you know their backstories. And the plot is revealed so slowly and with dozens of shocking twists that were all orchestrated, it'd be cool to see everything when you know the reasoning behind it, and when you know what comes later. Not to mention, I'm sure I forgot more than half the plot and twists that got the characters to where they were.

Re: Television (no longer temporary)
Watched the first couple episodes of South Side on HBO Max and laughed my fool head off.
Never heard of it until I listened to the Wait Wait Don't Tell Me podcast of last week which had the two brothers who created the show as guests. They were hilarious and more importantly they stressed the fact that even though the show is about a couple down on their luck hustlers on the south side of Chicago, there are no "very special" episodes. No violence, no injustice, pure comedy.

Book is fantastic. I think the adaptation for the TV series is being done REALLY well. Not that it really matters, but just from that perspective, I like the tweaks they've made to the setting and some of the plots. Subtle, but I think they enhance things, rather than being annoying.

Re: Television (no longer temporary)
We've been watching 'Hacks'...the show with Jean Smart (who's amazing) playing a Joan Rivers type of Las Vegas comedian.
We like it...its funny, with enough pathos to make it interesting. But what we really like about it? The 30 minutes long episodes.

Enjoyed Arcane. The artwork is really really good.
