I was just reminded today that Runnin' Rebels only applies to the basketball team at UNLV. They also use Hustlin' Rebels for their baseball and softball teams. I really think they need to do something like that for the rest of their teams:

Rushin' Rebels for Football
Puttin' Rebels for Golf

Trying to think of other ones to use the soft "u".

I just started a few weeks ago but a friend said its somewhere between frowned upon and illegal to not utilize the letters you already know are right. How does that make sense when, hypothetically, you have 3 guesses left and 5 possible options? Isn't there a lot more strategy in counting up the possible words, using your 4th guess to find the missing letter or eliminate, then getting it right on the 5th than simply guessing on a 60% shot?

Yes! Total bullshit when they use non-countries. Anyone playing Lewdle? Wordle with profanities. Difficult mode is where you can only guess profane words, but that’s too difficult. Also been some slang terms I hadn’t heard before. They link to Urban Dictionary when you get the answer or run out of guesses. My daughter told me about it and saw me play. She asked me the meaning of words I typed (correct answer was “grool”. Nope.

I hadn't heard about "hard mode" until a friend mentioned it. I couldn't care less either way, but I like knowing that if I have a letter it makes the puzzle of guessing a bit more creative.

Today I got very lucky. Several of my friends, not so much.

Very few things give me a quicker brief smile than passing a moving or whatever truck with three adult men all sitting in the front seat. Just something hilarious about someone sitting middle.

So, when I was young, two brothers were a couple of my best friends. We often drove in their or my pickup truck, meaning one of us had to sit in the middle. One of the brothers was a bit uptight, so if we got him to sit in the middle, we were primed for a practice joke that embarrassed him to death. If we got lucky enough to pull up at a red light next to a carload of girls, the guy sitting by the window would duck down out of sight before the girls saw us, and one of us would blare on the horn, causing them to all look and see the guy in the middle scrunched up against the driver. Of course our friend in the middle would be irate as well as embarrassed, while the other two of us giggled our heads off.

My daughter mentioned another site with 16 simultaneous boards! Unusable on a phone, and I don't think I'm going to bother trying on a computer.

I had the extreme dumb luck of getting a 1 last week, but did not make a point of remembering the word. Probably something like "bunch", as I use three different words comprised of 15 letters to get all the vowels and usually "y" on the board.

Once you start playing, you do not need to be online, so the "practice" function allows repeated playing on an airplane without paying for wifi.
