Ike was tight early and they didn’t move the ball quickly enough for me in the second half. They had a few guys knocking down shots when they moved ball rather than just Maldonado and Ike playing two-man games.
Nice to see the Hoosiers back in the tourney though.

Anyone want to tell him? This was posted five minutes ago.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.
Re: 2021/22 NCAA Basketball
Rutgers-Notre Dame has been a nice way to end the "First Four"
How do you all get your death notices since I left?
Re: 2021/22 NCAA Basketball
Mulcahy on Rutgers the only one to actual know game situation with 1.4 seconds left and trying to call timeout, even though the refs didn't see him. Everyone else just rushed it. Even without the TO, they could've waited for ND to get completely back and tried a much longer pass.

FRUstrating number of opportunities for Rutgers to win that game.

I feel like Sdak State really missed an opportunity to put the screws to providence when the friars went almost 4 minutes without scoring. but alas...

Ed Cooley (Providence's coach) really needs to embrace the razor with those open patches on the back of his head.

Re: 2021/22 NCAA Basketball
I just texted my buddy who has Providence "one down, five to go", initially thinking it was them and not Michigan who just moved on. The Rabbits scored 6 straight to pull within three since I sent that by accident.

Re: 2021/22 NCAA Basketball
Colorado State should've pivoted (heh) from the three to feeding the big guys down low once they got up by double digits in the 1st half. Get Michigan into foul trouble. Instead, live by the 3, die by the 3.

Re: 2021/22 NCAA Basketball
A lot of those guys had very jacked up shooting motions, which I low key love when they go in (except against my team!)
That was a weird game. Not sure why the Rams didn't force the issue down low with Roddy more. I think MI did a really good job adjusting their offense in the second half, but almost as important, they clamped down on defense and really disrupted what CSU was trying to run. A bunch of possessions that get under 10 seconds without any real point to anything.
I also always look at a team that shoots lights out from three early and doubt they can sustain it. Usually pans out and plays back to the mean by the early part of the second half. Played out that way today, thank Yahweh.
Still... Puzzled by the lack of O running through Roddy.

Re: 2021/22 NCAA Basketball
And, BTW, this was a very un 6 vs. 11 seed game. Mich was one spot ahead of CSU in Kenpom (something like #33-34.)
Rams were a very tough out, no question, but the seeding here was unfortunate for them. I won't repeat myself... This is a very weird MI team.

State not Southern. Not intimidated by the size.
Re: 2021/22 NCAA Basketball
That non-call on the Richmond defender fouling (the fuck out of) the Iowa 3pt shooter right in front of the ref's face was LOL as hell.
Good grief. I mean, I'm happy for Richmond to blow up the nation's brackets yet again, but nobody wants to see a ref botch such an important call like that.

Think that is bald or result of major head injury of some nature. I assumed based on how it was burn or car wreck type thing. If he does not do something the Terp students who used to dress like Turj are going to have much more commitment than some powder in their hair and a suit.
Re: 2021/22 NCAA Basketball
Also I think Gonzaga will ultimately win this but not what you want to see when you pick the Zags and they are only up 2 with just over 10 to go.

I should forfeit my sports fandom for picking Marquette.
And what moron thought Gonzaga would finally piece it all together this year? This guy!

Wow, Illini.
I guess we used up all our karma coming back against Arizona in 2005. Haven’t made the 16 since.

By the time this tournament is finished, we are all going to be really tired of seeing the face of Charles Barkley.
