More fun with Hershel Walker

Sure it's funny that he misspeaks and says CTR, but the money line is "Critical Race Theory, can you tell me what that means?" Railing against teaching something you don't understand. I just can't fathom running a campaign and publicly speaking on something I admittedly don't know the first thing about. Not to mention, he is running for office because he is sick of schools teaching something that isn't taught in public schools. I'm so sick of these stupid culture war bullshit issues the GOP invent.

If this is remotely true, he just made some powerful enemies for out their shit. Hell, if it's made up, GOP power brokers are going to be pissed as hell for him implicating that maybe they are involved in this shit. Either way, what a moron.

So about an hour ago, a candidate in the provincial election (in June), came by with his family...

Turns out to be one of the biggest nerds in my high school class. A smart nerd, but man...

Had a nice conversation with him and his family all the while thinking that, well... he was a nerd in high school. I know it's wrong, and I may vote for him, but, what a nerd.

What an incredible random Reddit comment focusing on why conservative Christians, time after time, will be forever Sisyphean in their attempts to enact Christian flavored Sharia Law.

I feel sorry for anyone living in Ohio having to live with seeing these ads...from JD Vance:

not sure how his Mom being an alcoholic, getting addicted to pain killers, and then getting busted stealing pills from the hospital she worked at is Mexico's fault (yes, I read his stupid book)

And not to be outdone...Josh Mandel...

How batshit to list "Pro-Trump" in the ad? I mean, it makes sense for his target audience, but a candidate stating one of their 3 platform points as supporting a former President is just nutty. OTOH, Republican's were touting themselves as "Reagan Republicans" for 40 years, so maybe it isn't that unprecedented.

Especially since Mandel wasn't a Trump supporter initially:

How Josh Mandel, Son of Suburban Ohio, Became a Right-Wing Warrior
Mr. Mandel’s sharpest political pivot came after the 2016 presidential race. He had endorsed Marco Rubio, then fell in behind Mr. Trump after he captured the nomination, though he privately expressed doubts about Mr. Trump’s credibility and business acumen and sometimes gave excuses when asked to stump for him, according to friends and former Trump campaign aides.
And notice he just says 'Pro-God'...conveniently not mentioning that he is Jewish?

Well, just yesterday he did tell the daughter of MLK that she was wrong about her father and the second amendment, and to 'study your history better'.

You know, just when I think nothing that these crypto-fascists do could surprise me (was thinking earlier about the Four Seasons press conference), something like this happens.

Like L-Ja, said - you'd think this was performance art, or some kind of satire.

Well, this is a weird story.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal prosecutors on Wednesday charged two men they say were posing as federal agents, giving free apartments and other gifts to U.S. Secret Service agents, including one who worked on the first lady’s security detail.

The two men — Arian Taherzadeh, 40, and Haider Ali, 36 — were taken into custody as more than a dozen FBI agents charged into a luxury apartment building in Southeast Washington on Wednesday evening.

Prosecutors allege Taherzadeh and Ali had falsely claimed to work for the Department of Homeland Security and work on a special task force investigating gang and violence connected to the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. They allege the two posed as law enforcement officers to integrate with actual federal agents…

Nothing suspicious about DHS agents offering you a free apartment. Even more ballsy to try that when you have an Arabic last name.
