Just want to point out that the Leafs haven't been to the finals a single time since 1967 (during the Original 6 era).

The finals? Toronto hasn't won a series since 2004!

Not that the Flames are any better, they won one series since 2004. Maybe tonight!

Feels like it’s been forever since I’ve had this precise game 7 OT nausea.

The whole "It's better that the referees not get involved there" narrative needs to die.

I think we should relitigate every refereeing decision but not Game 1. That’s ok as a standalone moment.

(To be even more shockingly fair, I thought Guentzel was high but probably not clear enough to reverse and told the oldest as much mid-review and still threw my phone on the official goal call. Be more like me, J-Lo. Admit it’s not the whole world against your team which includes Sidney Crosby.)

He threw him in a headlock ripped his helmet off and dragged him into the back of the net. Nothing that’s happened in this series is remotely comparable to that

Will you stop already? Think about all of the NYR fans who spent the last 2 weeks insisting the league would throw the series to the Pens. What are they gonna do now? Pretend their kids watched the game with them and it was a fulfilling experience?

Shots are 39-11! And it's 2-2. Goalie has absolutely stolen this series

Also speaking of refs. There is no universe in which shots are 26-4 in a period and penalties are 1-1. Obvious calls missed. Game management.

I’m definitely rooting for Florida or Carolina. To start with those teams have likable players as opposed to NY or Calgary etc.

Not in your division, but they're not as unlikable as some teams (and yeah, DeAngelo is definitely a shitbag, but their Finns and Russians are fun. That said, it wouldn't break my heart to make sure DeAngelo gets nowhere near the Stanley Cup).

If NYR targets him (and they should because he's always willing to take the bait), the series could be incredibly fun.

(Its exceptionally weird that the Rangers defense of ~3 years ago was very much not a strength and yet Carolina is an elite team playing a former Ranger on every pair.)

But, Slavin is an exceptionally good all-around defenseman. (As is Fox).

I was and still am a big fan of Skjei, but shedding his contract when they did was really prescient. They've still fucked up in other ways and might further with Strome or a new 2C and still need another lefty on D, but neither Lindgren or K'Andre should be 3rd pair so it was necessary.

Especially if Colorado advances they’ll be decent favorites anyway but I feel like these two teams are gonna beat the shit out of each other so bad I’d go with either Colorado or St Louis absent some injury to someone like McKinnon, Makar or Binnington.
