Kid came in 12th in the 800 in the state championships today (discounting a handful of girls that skipped the state race for Nationals as noted by flaco upthread), and she was the second sophomore (discounting one absolutely ridiculous girl who was one of the ones who skipped the state race for Nationals).

Quick update, twins doing really well. No news is good news. They've gone from 2 pounds to 4 pounds (using American units!).
Probably another month in the NICU.

My son who is 8 tried out for a play at the regional theatre in our area. First time trying this and still has some issues focusing and paying attention. He got the second biggest part. It starts a week from Friday.

Girl started at the job of my teenage dreams. MLB stadium. Gets paid decent adult wages and and embarrassment for a rising sophomore. Learned lessons that 10k in tuition wouldnt. If you say "doing well" some people look at you funny. Just reply with whatever they say. Life lessons and breaks in the 100 level and a ridiculous wage. Good job girl. Did take our first trip to children's sports and Ortho. The pole vault watching is getting nervy.
