Easier to read copy of the Notice. This is crazy, US Attorney's Office had to issue a notice to the Court explaining the numerous stories about Pierce's absence and lack of communication. On a ventilator with COVID, hospitalized from a car accident, in the hospital but not for COVID but with COVID symptoms... The best part is Footnote 2 about Pierce's associate who is not a licensed attorney and unlikely to get a license as he "currently faces two felony charges ... for multiple counts of intercepting communications and unlawful use of an audio device in court", and multiple counts for conspiracy to commit fraud while working as a court clerk. Only the best people.

Pierce's associates have given different stories to different courts in various cases and different stories to an NPR journalist. All conflicting stories. This US Attorney doesn't know the true story, but he hasn't heard from Pierce in over a week and Pierce's office phones are disconnected.

And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Apparently Pierce has re-emerged.

https://fingfx.thomsonreuters.com/gfx/l ... 210908.pdf

He says he was in the hospital for 12 days. He doesn't say why, but that a long time to be hospitalized for dehydration and exhaustion.

The combination of comment and signature from Mr. Baird is great:

"Hell yes it is, if you can't deal with it. As was said earlier, it doesn't make you a bad person if you can't date someone because of something like that.

I don't like soccer."

So apparently changing Baird's name in the member list didn't change his name when he was quoted. Don't know if that's a problem for him.

I hope he's spared and it's not shared. Or maybe just his name got cl(e)ared, Left unaired.

Can’t remember the screen name, but Hood had a great extended back and forth of insults with a guy who quit shortly afterwards. Not RSmith or Primis. It was a different antagonist. Anybody?

I definitely remember a heated back and forth with Unknown. But I think he stuck around for a while and didn't just evaporate.

Well, a number of folks that stirred the pot either got run off or just got tired of being ignored (eventually).

Rballer was pretty remarkable, in that I think he was a quasi-troll that didn't process the part of trolling where you take yourself and the emotion out of it.

But, yeah, the tone on here was pretty wild for a good stretch of time. While (at times) somewhat entertaining, it was often difficult to know what was offline friends just giving each other shit, compared to real online beef that would metastitize over time and get real REAL ugly.

You think he's joking when he leads with that, but I remember that dude. Box of rocks-level stupid.

That was a fun read. Poor kid just didn't know when to stay down. I cruised through quickly, so maybe I missed it or it was a dead link, but I remember Hood posting a picture of himself, but it was really an image from a sports video game where you can create an image for a player. I agree with NLFC's take, we are less mean because we drove out all the people needing ridicule. Man, we do not tolerate fools on this board.

Who was that one super racist guy? He would get called out all the time, but kept coming back until one day he didn't.

Edit:

Probably a better discussion for the actual thread, but the thought popped into my head.
