Supposedly...they met when she was 15, but didn't start 'dating' until she turned 18.

He always seemed the rapey frat boy type. "Longtime love" for a 50 year old implies, at least 15 years, right? So creepy.

I have a buddy who will probably be doing that in 5 years. Not the grooming part, but being 50 and with a 23 year old. He was with one at a show last year and it was awkward AF.

Well, the last post you had that wasn't in this thread or making noises about comedic travesties in the oscars thread was 10 months ago. Seems a bit self-serving to ask for feedback when you aren't really participating in the community much.

Sorry bro, waiting until I had time to pay attention. Love the confidence in your crowd work. On the video I couldn’t hear some of the comments you responded too. If people in the room can’t make it out, I always appreciate when comedians repeat the heckle before responding. Other than that, your delivery keeps getting tighter. Keep up the good work, still looking out for your East Coast tour.

I got nothing really to add, but Eddie Murphy had the highest peak for any comedian ever, right? By age 23, he saved SNL, and starred in Trading Places, 48 Hours, and Beverly Hills Cop. That's Gretzky-level peak, right?

Is that from the tour he was doing last fall? We saw him live for that.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Not sure, but if he had jokes about his infertility, going to the Saudi embassy around the same time as Khashoggi, and wanting all the clout from social media because of his Netflix show, then yes.

This Kanye stuff is a mess. He's been unlikeable forever but he's also very clearly mentally ill so how much is "his responsibility" versus those who are having him on shows/podcasts and stuff just to further the trainwreck?

I really never understood why so many people were so enamored with him, but I also just don't really like much of his music. I know a lot of ppl slapped the "genius" label on him, which... C'mon.

I don't remember the timeline and I don't care to investigate, but he started to go downhill after his mom died. I remember when he was on a late night show a while back (Maybe Jimmy Kimmel?) and the host asked point blank "How do you think your mom would feel right now if she saw you acting like this?" I remember after that he got a bit better, but obviously that didn't last long.

Eventually he slapped the genius label on himself and continued unabated acting like an asshole. If it weren't for his music being good or marrying a Kardashian, he would've been written off a while ago.

“A guy?” Earthquake is legendary! He’s been around for at least 30 years! Damn shame he is more famous.

I was going to say he is a force of nature, but that’s probably why he got the name.

Was gonna say the same, thanks for saving me the time Syb.

As I'm sure most of you guys know, for many years there was a black comedy circuit that was for all intents and purposes invisible to "White America." It still exists, for sure, but there are/were guys like Earthquake that are absolutely hilarious, but certain clubs shut them out (not the right demographic) or they just choose to go that route because it suite their style and wasn't as heavy a lift for them.

It wasn't actually just about comedy, as it encompassed musicians as well.

There's a funky name for it, but I don't feel like looking it up.

ETA - Ok, that's me being selfish and lazy. It was called the Chitlin' Circuit.

ETA2 - And the "circuit" was around for a very long time, before Earthquake was born, certainly.
