I've watched 2 of them. Really awesome playthroughs.

People using the Random Thoughts thread reminded me of this.

So me and my kids came up with a wrinkle for Clue. If you find out that your character is the murderer, you can win the game by "escaping". You have to move your token out through the front door, but you can't if you're in the "field of vision" of another character. It didn't come up yet in either of the games we played with, but I'm curious how it would turn out.

At the top of the board in the Hall. At least on our board there are double doors.

Played Azul at xmas. Pretty fun but a bit of a learning curve. Likely it's the best wall-tile design game out there.

B.T.W. if you have not checked out tabletop simulator, you are missing out. Not every board game works well in that format but a great way to try out a game before dropping $50 to $100. The library of games available is huge and lots of out of print games availalbe.

Had the same experience, looking forward to playing it again now that we know better how to play. Was pretty fun, even with a few mistakes.

That game is an instant gateway game classic. Really easy to approach and teach. Plus, is really pretty all around.

There's also an expansion and 2 variants.

Hey Johnnie, or anyone else who might be interested: This looks like a pretty cool virtual tabletop for RPGs that I might spring for if we ever decide to do a Swamp D&D group like we've teased a few times:

Wow. That's really cool. Very interested to see how the Kickstarter turns out.

I remember reading somewhere that digital implementations of things are tougher to close on and don't have the greatest track record of being "finished." Software issues. Platform issues. Etc.

Hell, I'm still waiting on a couple board games I've kickstarted. AMD I've pulled back greatly on kickstarting more.

The game gets a little repetitive if you don't have other maps to play.

I would agree with that. If my playing the app version was any indicator, I could burn through a dozen games relatively quickly and was like "Ehhh, I think I'm good now."

But for newer gamers, I can't disparage it. It gets people into learning some very straightforward mechanics (set collection, route building) and give them a non "roll and move" perspective with gaming.

Like the retiree said. Great introduction game to what I have always heard referred to as European-style games. Great for all ages also.

I may have posted this already, but Santorini is a fantastic game. Simple and pretty quick but a high replay level and different each time because the variety of characters you use.

Also Love Letters was something I grabbed from the library without any knowledge. Actually, a pretty fun game.

After buying a house, moving in, and finally getting all my crap out of storage, the game room is coming along.

I'm waiting on a desk that'll go in that near corner. And I have to get a TV, fan/lights, and hang more pictures.

So far, so good. (Photo is zoomed back. The room is like 13 x 11 with 9 foot walls and the table is 3 x 5.)

Already have plans for that. There's this area in the living room that's 78 1/4" x 30" that is PERFECT for a coffee + wine + spirits bar.

It's one of the many projects for this house.

True. We have a bunch of framed, finished puzzles from Game of Thrones that I can hang. And there are several other photos I need to frame as well.

But I'll get to all of that later.

What really sucks is that I did a kickstarter for artist Seb McKinnon and got several of his prints. Then he decided to be public about being a Canadian Trucker sympathizer and I couldn't cancel my order. Very annoying.

Apparently if it's an online game it's very easy to just run a sim of your opponents moves and counter with whatever software you have. But yeah, the live version including the butt plugs seems strange. Wait, was that a king's bishop vibration or a queen's bishop?

I mean, I don't claim to fully understand how blackjack players cheat using electronics, but it's absolutely a thing. Either a partner is helping count cards and sending signals, or the player himself is keeping tabs of the cards electronically.

Doesn't seem too far-fetched that a similar type of system (shoes, anal beads, something on the small of the back) could be used. The article says the guy as frisked, but, you know...
You can lead a horse to fish, but you can't fish out a horse.
