Swamp Memories

Post by govmentchedda »

On my way to a mediation in Clearwater and nature called. Stopped off at the Target where I met TT to give him the real swampbucks that we'd collected for him after Hurricane Rita left him homeless. Nice memory. I am happy I got to see his gratitude in person.

I most remember your look of disbelief when you saw the size of the car i had been living in. How do you thank a group of people you are probably never going to meet for going so far out of their way to help somebody they had no reason to care about? But mostly, I'm just glad Giff made it out okay

Remember the time that the entire Swamp lost it's fucking mind and decided that the best method for determining how dominant two athletes are in their respective sport is by comparing the two sports and not simply comparing them to their peers?

That was awesome.

Can Jerloma re-tell the story of falling off the bridge on the way to a concert?

I remember when we were all in the clubhouse bar, and I looked out the window down the No. 1 fairway and saw an actual river of water coursing down it. It amazes me that course drained enough in 30 minutes that we could go out and play.

Indeed, good times. I know we say this every year but we should try to do that again.

Yes we should. Given that I am now covering basically the entire midwest for work, I'd certainly be up for almost anywhere. (IN, IL, WI, MI, KY, OH).

Also, that round was brought to you by the magic of drain tiling.

For my first 4-6 months, I thought Rush 2112 was Rush 2012, and was looking for Limbaugh to make a future run for the Presidency.

One of the political/Howard threads there was some bashing of Limbaugh. Reading through the "Rush is an asshole" posts made me feel bad about myself.
