Re: Commercials
Kinda like chili so lots of different types but from hot to extremely hot relish is a decent description

The name certainly threw me at first.

Re: Commercials
Of the major chains I deal with, I like what Potbelly does with their pickled hot peppers. I think I'd prefer Chow Chow, looking at the description.

Or giardiniera as it's known in the Midwest.

Guys, it was delicious. Sweet Maui onion chips to go along with it. Coke Zero. Good lunch. We should have a thread.

Re: Commercials
Hey man, I'm having another one. Hope yours is great if you decide to as well.

Out of milk and too many meetings this morning to run to store.

Re: Commercials
Maybe it’s just me but I feel like the new Modelo “fan” commercial is minimizing the sacrifices of Mark “Mr Cartoon” Machado and Philly “Barber King” Garcia.

Re: Commercials
I'm not a chow chow expert, but my impression of it is more like a relish and has some sweetness, while giardiniera is pickled peppers vegetables like cauliflower, carrots and celery and peppers in much bigger pieces.

One man's relish is another man's...I dunno. I got nothing.

Yes! Great break from all the political commercials during the World Series. Audibly laughed.

The “Monster like! Uuunnnhhh!” at the end of the Back Market commercial is sort of nasty.

Re: Commercials
I'm turning into The Old Guy and I don't really care.
The thing about the Bowie/Crosby thing is that there was HUGE generational issues/conflict going on when they did that. it was a very VERY big deal when it happened. '
You could present me with a black/white moment that was bigger, but I'd argue that nothing tops the Crosby/Bowie song as a bigger cultural healing moment.

As a full blown old guy, I’m not sure if I agree. That duet occurred when I was 18. I remember watching it. I’m just one individual, but my overriding thought was, “what is Bowie doing appearing on this cheesy tv holiday special?”Nonlinear FC wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 10:11 pm I'm turning into The Old Guy and I don't really care.

Now that I think about it, things have been very peachy among everyone since that magical duet.

So I guess I missed the CFB Championship game last year when this commercial aired.

I’ve never known of anyone who surprised their partner by giving them a car or truck for Christmas. But it sure seems to happen a lot on television commercials.

That is the best commercial I've seen in years! I was choking up at the end. Beautiful, thanks for posting.

Can you imagine the outrage in certain circles if they broadcast that commercial in the USA?

That's pretty great. Scotch huh. I might try that. Seems like it might end with jumping out a moving car
Re: Commercials
MORE closeups of Taco Bell entering people’s mouths would be great. I have high hopes for the next 3 hours of CFB.

The newest Dr. Rick commercial of the elevator are worthy entrants to that series - just top shelf good stuff.

CBS using a 70s soul song to advertise The Masters? Scandalous!

Re: Commercials
The current meme is that this commercial plays when your team is getting shellacked:
WHOPPER WHOPPER WHOPPER WHOPPER
I like the color scheme, personally. It doesn't make the food any better though. But I'll still go there in a pinch.
