WTF, turned it off at halftime, just checked the score and see Spurs leaked 3! Fuck of you Spurs!

For those of you who don;t watch Spurs every week - this is how Son has been playing all season. Totally invisible.

And for those of you who don't watch Spurs every week - a team in desperate need of spark waits until the 78th minute to bring in Richarlison???
Conte OUT!

Re: EPL 2022/2023
I had to go tutor my son's class in math, just looked up the score as I walked out. Looks like the meerkats were sacked at half.
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
Re: EPL 2022/2023
This team could not be doing worse with a manager who is not "world class." Sick and tired of these prima donna media whores.

Tottenham is fifth in the standings and ahead of both Liverpool and Chelsea
I get that the "how" that has happened so far is frustrating, but ... the place in the table is basically what any rational Tottenham fan expected through the first 20 games of the season, right?

I get that. but I also think Tottenham overachieved last year + the disappearance of Son's form is probably the biggest factor in the drop. and not sure how much of that is manager related.
(I am also not defending Conte. it's clear the situation isn't working. but also not sure if the ceiling is all that much higher either)

The team has shown its ceiling (2nd once in a while, otherwise 3rd, 4th) over the past decade, which fans can live with. Son needs weeks off, yet there he is every game, even though Richarlison was signed for a boat load of cash and gets 10-20 minutes a game. Neither Sessegnon nor Royal know how to cross the ball properly, yet they start almost every game in Conte's beloved system - which demands a back who either has real speed or who can cross the ball.
It's the misuse of assets - the stubborness of sticking with things that clearly do not work that is driving Spurs fans into apoplexy right now.

it is staggering how predictable they are style-wise. it feels a lot like the last couple Mourinho teams in the EPL where it was clear that they were going to play a certain way whether it worked or not

Re: EPL 2022/2023
And that is driving Spurs fans insane. They haven't taken a single point this year from the teams above them in the table. Hell, they haven't been close to taking a point from any of them.Brontoburglar wrote: ↑Fri Jan 20, 2023 8:32 am it is staggering how predictable they are style-wise. it feels a lot like the last couple Mourinho teams in the EPL where it was clear that they were going to play a certain way whether it worked or not

That sounds like the last 5-10 years for Arsenal. I still go into any game against the big 5 assuming a loss.Pruitt IV wrote: ↑Fri Jan 20, 2023 10:59 amAnd that is driving Spurs fans insane. I’m just glad that even Pep agrees Man City are a shit club with no heart and plastic fans.

How's the morning for Everton supporters?
They have to sack Lampard, right?

Everton are going to have the best stadium in the Championship

The classic insult! (first heard against Sunderland who later had the best stadium in League One.)

Had to laugh before the Spurs-City game on Thursday when the announcer mentioned that Harry Kane could soon sneak back into the lead for the Golden Boot.

Well earned points for the Gooners. At least it keeps City further away from a title.

The first year I followed them after reading Fever Pitch and I thought they’d be a fun team to follow due to its culture.

Same reason I started loosely following them until recent years as I’ve become more into the sport (thanks in large part to this board). Doesn’t hurt that the only close friend who follows soccer also roots for them.
