I don't really understand what's going on there. Is the first clip serious? Are they really that delusional? I'm not super familiar with their schtick, so I'm probably missing a really obvious narrative/"inside" joke.
It was always a subtle meme that 'the NFL script writers wanted to see Team X and Team Y in [game], so they made it happen,' and PFT just decided to lean into it. Arian played along. And viola.
I mean, the name of the podcast is 'Macrodosing.'

Man, fuck Aaron Rodgers. This doesn't get said enough.
Is this about his spending 4 days in darkness to consider his next move? Sounds like preparing for a year with the Jets. I’m thinking he should join Adams in Vegas.

One winning season in the NFL - and he was a rookie. After that, 38-122. Yet he's going to Canton.
And deservedly so.
I can pretty much guarantee that the winning percentage of Thomas' teams is the just about the worst of any player in any Hall of Fame.
Through no fault of his. Was happy to see he got in, and kind of surprised he didn't lead more of the headlines. And hey, turns out Ronde isn't borderline, I guess!
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Happy for Ronde. It always felt like he was borderline, but that he also got great stats. The Tampa 2 defensive scheme and the way Monte used it allowed him to get both sacks and picks. Feels like he's got the season or career record for combined total. I'm sure one of the upcoming social media posts will remind me.

He the only dude with 40 picks and 25 sacks. And it makes sense. The Bucs were the preeminent defense in the league for about 7-8 years, and by DVOA their 02 Title team had the best pass D ever. Four HoFers from that squad make total sense, and all are more than deserved.
Additionally, it also makes sense to me that with the expansion of passing in the 2000s, the dudes defending the pass should probably get more guys in. Woodson and Champ are the top two CBs of that era in some order, and Ronde was third. That's a Hall member for me.
ETA: And take it from a guy who to this day still has nightmares of Ronde Barber.
My avatar corresponds on my place in the Swamp posting list with the all-time Home Run list. Number 45 is Paul Konerko with 439.

Yep, there we go. Career has both 47 picks and 28 sacks.

Happy for Klecko. He is always around the team and seems like a great guy. Seems kind of crazy that out of the 8 players inducted, 7 are defensive players and the only offensive player is a lineman.

Calvin Johnson might be close (he was a rookie on the 0-16 Lions), but I suspect Thomas' is worse.
Lee Roy Selmon HAS to be the worst.
If we're counting solely games played with the team, not just on the roster (Bucs went 2-2 in TB games where LRS was on the roster but didn't play), Lee Roy's W-L-T record is 42-78-1!

This comes up a lot, but another reminder that Joe Namath and Sonny Jurgensen were both under .500 as a starter. Tom Brady the Buccaneer threw for more than half as many yards as Namath

It'll eventually be Russell Wilson.
Gawd, I hope not! I know you’re joking, but I don’t think Sean Payton is going to give Russ a really long leash. He’s already put an end to Wilson’s past practice of bringing his own personal coaches onto team facilities.
This discussion made me think of Paul Gruber - never a pro bowler like Joe Thomas, but a tackle who almost never missed a game for some godawful Bucs teams. Wisconsin grad as well.

Gruber was a rock. Don't see him much around here. To be fair, I may have missed it if he's been around. I don't pay a ton of attention to the BUCS anymore.

Can anyone give me a reason (other than the transparently obvious one) why Eric Bienemy hasn't gotten a head coaching job yet?
Because owners want their head coaches to look fit. No fatties.
