Oh my what a horrible way to lose a perfecto in the 8th.

And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

I know you're not supposed to talk to your pitcher during a perfecto, but maybe a little communication there would've saved it.
How do you all get your death notices since I left?

The O's just finished off a sweep of the Tigers at OPACY. The Tigers' C, Jake Rogers got caught sitting in his crouch instead of getting up to smother a pitch with a runner on 3rd in extras. That was vintage Gary Sanchez.

Went to my first game of the reimagined MLB this week (Petco Park, by the way, highly recommend that), and the difference was palpable. Sometimes a guy would strike out and you didn’t even realize it happened. Fielders forced to make good plays, man on first mattered, I even saw a guy caught stealing! Game over in 2:13. 10/10

I think I've already watched more non-playoff/non-Astros games this season than I did all of the last two seasons.

Getting the MLB package has me watching more Tigers' games (or at least using them for background noise) than ever before, but the games just fly by. So great. It seems like every game, I'm looking at the time, the game is closing in on two hours, and it's at least the bottom of the 7th.

I for one would prefer if MLB playoffs went the NBA route, where seeding is by record, and a division title only guarantees a playoff spot. 2 years ago it would’ve meant SF and LA would be seeds 1 and 2, and separate them until the NLCS.

They’ve beaten up on a weak part of their schedule, as they should. Tough stretch after KC. 3 @ ATL, home for 3 each w TB and PIT. I’d be happy w a 5-4 in that stretch. 6-3 would be even better. LAA, TOR and NYY after that. Woof.

Was it that weak before Detroit? I thought some tough series in there.

It was pretty weak. Oakland, Nats and the White Sox. Also Boston.

The O's are in the process of dropping two of three to the mighty Kansas City Royals (2nd worst offense in MLB). The O's held an 8-1 lead after two innings today.

It's currently 13-9 O's and they have runners on 1st and 3rd with one out in the top of the 9th.

Moments after the O's game I flipped it over to the Braves v Marlins, where I watched Acuna Jr foul a pitch off the inside part of his left knee. He went down like a sack of dirt. Stayed in the game for a couple innings in RF, but was replaced when he was due up next. He's day-to-day now. But by the looks of it, that son of a bitch is gonna be hurtin' tomorrow.
