I think you might be confusing where he sat in the radio booth during the Phillies series because Melanie Newman was wearing something against protocol. Something like that.

It's just sorta funny that Angelos would get that petty, not giving AF what it looks like when he could've just sent Brown a note telling him to knock it off.

But then, he really would've needed to send a message to the entire production team, cuz he was simply reading copy put in front of him.

Angelos aside. What Angelos did is ridiculous.

I understand that comparing how shitty they were to how they’re playing now makes this sweeter. But at some point, when do you stop mentioning it? When is that point? They had a winning record last year. They’re having a great season this year. Anyone watching local broadcasts know they sucked before.

I can understand an owner preferring the focus to be on the now and the future.

I would say the topic becomes a dead horse in 2024 after they've presumably made inroads in this year's postseason.

That's an understatement considering half their rotation is at their career highs in IP. I'm guessing they will look to move some of the guys who are blocked in AAA (and crushing it, btw) for some cost-controlled SP.

First base umpire in Phils-Nats game has had three calls overturned in the first three innings, including two in about a minute's time, trying to keep Nick Castellanos off first. None of them have really been close either.

You know how you look at old 80s baseball cards and think "how the fuck was this guy only 30 in this picture"? Jake Cave is a throwback to that, and not solely because of the graying beard.
