My thoughts which are probably not controversial: Europe is a bit stronger 1-3, USA much stronger from 4-12. Can Hojgaard, MacIntyre, Straka live up to the tradition of past European randos who become Arnold Palmer in a home Ryder Cup? Conventional wisdom is that the LIV split hurt Europe more, but it might have been perfect timing to drop those guys. Meanwhile, surprise major winners who force their way onto the US team through the rankings list always worry me.

The books seem to have it as nearly a dead heat.

Stuff was a bigger deal back then before it got saturated. The Ryder Cup got good when Europe won a few and had characters like Seve. War by the shore, Brookline etc..

It's always interesting when you play the unknowns. Like the USSR in hockey. Who the fuck are these guys in goofy helmets and how are they so good?

Unbelievably poor behaviour from the European fans jumping in the water on 16 as Fleetwood's putt is conceded and Europe retain the Ryder cup.
