How on earth does Brandon Staley have a job?

4th and 1 deep in your own end, up by 7, 3:00 left and he goes for it with a QB keeper and Herbert can't extend his arms!

Not sure how serious Lamar Jackson wanted to leave Baltimore, but I'm glad the Patriots didn't make a run at him! Wouldn't want to move on from Mac Jones. Nope.

Edit

Changed out a word.

Zach Wilson is a talentless douche, and I don’t want him to have success, and a huge percentage of Jets fans are bridge-and-tunnel, but everyone else in my survivor league moved on, and I can use some eliminations.

What does the bridge and tunnel fans have to do with anything?

Disappointed a questionable call kept the Jets from having a chance to tie wit win, but thrilled I got to watch a good game! Really didn’t think I’d have any more this year, especially not against the Chiefs. And when it started 17, I never would have believed they’d come back. Zach looked like a low tier NFL starting QB tonight! Huge step up from looking like a high school kid thrown into an NFL game.

The Bears have lost 17 of their last 18 games. Their only win in that time? By 19 points against the NE Patriots last October.

I was curious and looked at the rest of the Bears schedule and it is NOT a difficult schedule at all. The two best teams left on it are the Chargers and Lions. That’s nuts. If they don’t win four or five games they absolutely should ditch Fields and start over.

(For the record - Packers, Vikings, Lions, Commies, Raiders, Chargers, Saints, Panthers, Browns, Cardinals, Falcons).

Coming into the season, my hope was two top-12 picks.

Now, my hope is an absolute cleaning from GM down.

I worked for the company that used to do the concerts prior to the Thursday night game to start the NFL season. The second one we did in Pittsburgh, the event started clearing out rapidly about 45 minutes before the game started while the concert was still going on.

Four or five? They're going to be favored in probably none of those games.

I get that but that’s the lines. In theory every team should go about 8-8-1 against the spread every year. Also even bad teams should win about four games a season.

So I reiterate that if the Bears don’t win four or five games in a weak division against their schedule that they should clean house from top to bottom.

Doesn't that theory ignore the teams that get over/under bet? Like I imagine books would actually expect the Cowboys to be worse against the spread.

Sure I mean we can get into a rabbit hole of that stuff. That’s why some (though not many obvs) people can make a living sports betting. I’m just saying that the lines are meant to draw even action.

The point is if Campbell dropped a National reference the media (and Mr D apparently to a lesser extent) would have eaten it up. But I think his tastes run more towards Metallica

Giants go for it on 4th and short and I flipped from Buck talking about “a bigger, heavier package” on the traditional broadcast to the Manning-cast where they broke down the failed “tush push” attempt by pointing out there were 3 guys behind Jones and two of them need to each pick a cheek and the other needs to go right up the middle.

And more ass talk on this Seahawks TD review.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.
