Nor are the Packers it appears. I was worried those cheesehead fucks might fall ass backwards into a third straight generational talent at QB but dodged that bullet apparently.

I like how they made it a point to show Tomlin "coaching up" the wide receivers, telling them to play smart after Pickens' crack back block and then they both proceeded to get taunting penalties erasing huge plays.

Yeah. Maybe that was a cheap shot. It’s just that when you root for really bad teams, you don’t get to give many shots.

On a related note, I felt like the Giants-Commanders game missed the mark a little. Though the teams did their level best to make it look like a 1980s game. The Giants' retro look always looked best against the 49ers, but the [REDACTED-FINAL WARNING] was a close second.

And what's the point if you're not going to put the "New Jersey Meadowlands" logo at midfield?

The Giants got a picture of the Empire State Building in the background, but when the Jets played on CBS, they got the World Trade Center. Not sure there's a point there.

Fully aware the Steelers got a generous spot to win that game so not whining at all here, just wondering if anyone can explain that Puca catch. I originally thought it was a catch too and thought it was a terrible challenge, but then they said that they were treating it like a toe tap, and that's why the heel coming down out of bounds doesn't matter. To be a toe tap, doesn't the toe have to come back off of the ground before the heel hits?

We was NFC rookie of the year. He made a Pro Bowl. He was a team leader on that great ‘85 Bears team. He was injured a lot, but he was highly regarded as a really good qb until the cumulative injuries became too much.
Jim McMahon had a gaudy W/L record, but holy crap his QB passing #s look like he played in the 1930s and not the 1980s.

McMahon is also the second-best quarterback in franchise history (the best of the last 70 years) and I don't think it's particularly close. No one in the free world thinks that highly of Jay Cutler, but he is almost certainly a top-five QB in Bears history, possibly even the third-best.

People also look at Joe Namath's stats and start wondering if people ever get removed from the Hall of Fame. When he led the Jets to victory in Super Bowl III, it was after a season he finished with 15 TD and 17 INT (his third straight season with more picks than scores which were the first three of the four seasons that were the statistical peak of his play). He finished with more TD passes than picks in two seasons and completed five passes more than 50% in his career.

I was listening to the Bronco/Packer game on SXM radio while I took a walk yesterday. On the Broncos' first drive, they had a touchdown called back for a holding penalty. The color guy on the radio broadcast was upset about it, said it was a bad call, went on and on, and wouldn't quit grousing about it. I thought to myself, "This is just like watching the game on tv with my brother." And, I don't like watching sports with my brother.
