Video?
If you really want it, I could upload when I have some time. I did screen record clips for the grandparents. Might be more interesting to see the 5 minutes where the announcers discussed what a great job Coach Prime is doing with his program. I FF'ed into the discussion, but I think they were saying the Yankees drew only 60 fans to their last game for "Fan Appreciation Day."
I mean, don't put yourself out for me.. I was just wondering if someone might've streamed it or put it on social.

As I've mentioned, I'm a D3 soccer nerd and almost all of those games are streamed and you can often find an on demand file. So I'm a little spoiled on being able to watch fairly random sporting events at this point.
It's easy enough since I have the clips on my phone, and I probably should save stuff to Youtube. I had all her old clips on my computer and the hard drive crashed and now I only have a compilation I put on Youtube for my wife. It seems like every kid has clips for college recruiting, so it'll make it easier if she decides to go that route. And the video I have is the other team's broadcast. They stream live on Facebook with two announcers. Not sure if that's an every game thing, or if it was a special night. They played under the lights with a lot of youth travel teams in the stands, so I think it was a special night. My daughter said before warmups, the travel teams were on the field to meet the players, which absolutely cracks me up.

A couple clips from the Cranford game. These announcers were hilarious, they went off on some wild tangents at times. My daughter is on the right wing here, takes the shot. The girl on the dribble is the other Freshman. This team is going to be a lot of fun to watch in 2 years... Played three games since this one, team hasn't scored again. First two were both 1-0 losses, and my daughter hit the crossbar in both games, once with two minutes left, the other game with 4 minutes left.

First goal

Golden Goal. It wasn't pretty, but this was my bread and butter as a player, just being in the right spot.

My oldest daughter, who had her start date from a big business consulting company (West Monroe) pushed back from August to March got an email today completely rescinding her offer.

Fuck those motherfuckers. What a terrible shitty way to run a business. She's been sitting around for over a year now, thinking she had the sweet entry level gig lined up and ready to go, and then they fucked her over.

She's really bummed out about the whole thing...and about the situation in Israel. She made a lot of friends when she was there over the summer, including people in the military, and she's worried about them. And she had found a two month internship program for January and February in Tel Aviv that she was going to do, but now that isn't an option.

So...she'll be back from her "Naturalists At Large" job the week before Thanksgiving, and will start the job search in earnest then.

That sucks, Dave. Sorry.

eta: my wife just told me the same thing was done to one of my daughter’s best friends. Shitty thing for a prospective employer to do.

Thanks everyone....she's incredibly frustrated at the moment. She did everything "right", and got screwed for it.

She's decided she'll come back to Seattle, and get a "McJob" (retail/nannying/pouring beer at a microbrewery) while she tries to find something else.

Big game last week for Senior Night. They do a ceremony and announce the seniors, their parents walk the, on the field etc... They get a big crowd for that game, and the school TV station filmed it with 3 cameras and edit together a broadcast. Played against an elite private school that recruits for sports. I predicted a 6-0 loss based on comparing games against the same opponents. Incredible 2-1 win, which hopefully gets them into the State tournament. My daughter got the winner and now leads the team in goals.

Nice! I guess I haven't seen her in person in years, she got tall.

And sad we have multiple options for "private HS that recruits for sports".

Son's crew team (made up of public school kids) won a competitive race this weekend by 0.01 seconds. In the fall it is a 5K, so the course has curves and they race against the clock (spring is 5 or 6 lanes going 1500M head-to-head). The coxswain steered an amazing race that likely was the difference. Beat the fancy private schools and the Maryland schools that are allowed to be a team year round.

Son made the 8 that are heading to Boston this weekend to race the Head of the Charles.

Eh, just under 5’4”, still one of the shortest on the team and I think she is done growing. My son, OTOH, is now several inches taller than me.

I’m bitter that the England U16 girl I mentioned before was recruited and plays for Rutgers Prep. Would have loved to have her on this team. Rutgers Prep is ranked #4 in the nation and they waived the $46,000 a year tuition, so I can’t blame them. She is a junior and committed to VT.

The GF's daughter, along with her boyfriend, are in Lofoten, Norway doing a bunch of photo shoots for Vuori, Noronna (https://www.norrona.com/), and Blundstone. They went to check out the local soccer stadium today:

Reminds me of the soccer field in Valletta, Malta.

the boy finished his HS soccer career yesterday -- they were eliminated in the first round of the state tourney.. he had a good year, started and played every game at LB and had the most minutes .. only subbed out twice all season. he really grow on the field, at the end the captains told him he should have been captain (he wasn't there last year, too immature)...he was diagnosed adhd earlier in the year and has been on meds for a couple of months.. finally settled down and started paying attention, doing schoolwork, etc.. its been a rough year so far..
after dinner he took a call from a college coach, d1 track.. we had already met him and he'd had his official visit.. coach said he's one of their top recruits, here's the $ they're likely offering, did the preread on the transcript and are waiting for his application so they can move forward.. he was on speaker so we heard the convo. he handled it real well.
indoor season starts in a month. he'll likely take a couple of weeks off before they start training.. looking forward to a monster season and maybe fielding a few more of those calls before its all over.. at least he seems to have one of his top three locked down.

I was going to say that there might be a rule against student-athletes playing intramurals but then I remembered my dorm's basketball team losing by 4 to the football players team in the championship game my senior year thanks to me missing the front end of a one-and-one.
