Real seriousness here. Is there anything that Josh McDaniels is good at in terms of coaching? It's certainly not motivation, getting players to buy in, installing an offense, putting players in positions where they can succeed, managing a locker room, or game strategy.

Or, come to think of it, wearing headgear that makes him look like an adult.

It's perhaps a symptom of a greater issue - overvaluing an offensive coordinator or quarterback coach who works with a Hall of Fame quarterback. Nathaniel Hackett and Luke Getsy (Bears OC, formerly Rodgers' QB coach) also fit.

yes, but he KEEPS getting hired. I will give the first time he is hired a pass, but...this is just dumb.

I remember the McDaniels offense being decent in Denver, it's just that the team kinda sucked - mostly due to GM Josh McDaniels. But if he's got all the negatives now PLUS an archaic offense that doesn't work anymore, then I guess we'll see just how far into the ground the Raiders are willing to let him drive their franchise.

a couple things being overlooked here:

- the success of the 2021 New England Patriots offense

- the constant Tom Brady noise

these aren't a defense, but I think they're helpful with the context

If Josh McDaniels sucks because he's still waiting for Tom Brady to come back, I think that's an additional negative

sure, but if the Brady thing isn't out there and the Patriots offense wasn't what it was in 2021 with a rookie QB, very easy to see how this doesn't happen

I think it can explain why he got another opportunity
