Vey iz mir!

A very hip opinion (have seen similar since the show began to take off), but the fact is, Adventure Bay's economy is stimulated by the grocery stors, the restaurant, the fishing industry and other businesses.

While I haven't seen all the episodes, it always seemed to be a culturally diverse town.

Great timing on the Barry post. I just finished Season 1 like 20 minutes ago. Great show. And I love that the episodes are only about 30 minutes long. Makes it easy to do just one more.

We're still catching up on season 2 of "The Bear" (took us a while to recover from the Christmas flashback episode). Last night we watched the one where Cousin Richie does a week polishing forks at the 3 star restaurant (clearly based on Alinea in Chicago).

The running joke after he was done with the week about "I wear suits now" was great. I joked about deciding to start going into my office in a suit every day and telling people that.

Oh, I don't. I'm too cheap for HBO.

(I'll just listen in podcast form the next day. And I'm sure a clip or two from it will be content for lefty YouTubers as well.)

I've been watching Barry over the past few weeks. Great show. I love that the episodes are about 30 minutes too. S3 Barry (the character) got a little dark. I'm mid S4 now and this season's just weird.

Just watched the trailer… looks really good, but not sure I can get past Nathan Fielder being married to Emma Stone.

I’m of the opinion that every man is worse looking than their woman. Even when you’re a gorgeous dude you end up with a woman hotter. Obviously I should know.

I never watched The League, so I am watching it now. I know it is well past its moment in the zeitgeist, but...holy shit, it's...not good? Like, at all? I am mostly hate watching season 2 now. It might even be a little okay except...mother of all that is holy, the character Taco and/or the actor playing him...this might be one of the worst sustained not funny performances in a comedy series I have ever encountered. What the actual fuck. He's awful. Character and actor. The lines not funny. The actor not remotely funny. It's like a prolonged practical joke that I am not in on.

I watched the whole thing. Like Duplass and Stephen Rannazzisi (whose standup is pretty good). But Paul Scheer and Nick Kroll drove me crazy. I have had a hard time not enjoying Mantzoukas in almost everything he has done.

I'm 50/50 with him. Loved him on Brooklyn 99 for example.

Kroll, too, I find him funny with Mulaney, for example. But he's an acquired taste and I get tired of him pretty quickly.

As a collection, on that show (adding in Scheer) it was just too fucking annoying.
