If you looked up the word "desultory" in the dictionary, you would see that game...
It took 4 or 5 defensive blunders in the 18 yard box to put Fernandes in position./

Kenilworth Road is so small. The camera angle when the ball is on the near side of the pitch is crazy.

This Chelsea-Spurs game has been a weird one. Looks like Chelsea is gonna win 3-1, but Spurs played most of the game with 10 men and a most of the second half with 9. I think there have been 5 goals called back by late offside or VAR calls.

Nope. 4-1. Jackson with a hat trick.

(damn near got a 4th while I was typing)

Chelsea may have been gifted this one somewhat, but they really needed it. This team is showing signs of life.

A brutal watch. If anyone believes that VAR as currently used in the Premier League is a good thing, I urge them to watch this game.

I started this last night. Very well done, so far. I laughed when Posh Spice was telling how she was from a working class background, and he stuck his head in saying "what car did your dad drive in the 80's?", and she had to admit that he had a Rolls-Royce.

And good lord does he have a lot of ugly tattoos....

I really had not spared one minute ever considering their relationship, but, damn, those two clearly loved each other from the start and still very much do. Given the fishbowl they have been in and raising kids in that, it's a damn miracle.

It wasn't great. I mean, I think they actually got all the calls right, but it took forever. Although I didn't understand why they called offside for Caceido's goal (giving Chelsea a PK instead).

I actually don't really like the call that gave Romero the red card either, but that's my beef with the rule, not the call. I think it's overly harsh to give a red for a dude who kicked the ball, but the follow-through catches someone in the leg. But they've been calling it that way for a few years now (and Romero was lucky he hadn't already gotten a red anyway).

James Maddison and Micky van de Ven who have been absolutely crucial to Spurs' success this year are both out until January.

This does not please me.

New Irish pub slash soccer bar just opened in my town. Word must travel fast, based on all the accents one hears there. Pretty chuffed about that.

That was a pretty awesome game. I get why a spoiled City fan wouldn't like it - they were outplayed for much more of that game than they're used to. But for a Chelsea fan, and probably any neutral, it was a lot of fun.

So you think they're just waiting until City gets enough points so they don't go negative when they get their deduction?

Maybe City have cleared the hurdle to be part of the legacy group the rule is meant to protect?

City is so good that one minor mistake...in this case, Allison plant foot slipping on a clearance...and they will punish you.

And Doku is the latest player for them that must be terrifying to play defense against...

Helluva free kick goal for Sterling.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

This game is bonkers. Trips free kick hit the bar, somebody on the blues missed a sitter and Joelinton had one of the most spectacular shit the bed moments you’ll ever see. It really should be 3-3 right now cause I just remembered about a ridiculous save made my Pope!

To be clear, I was referring to the advantage the ref played then didn't play. But yes, I feel like live you could actually see the moment he found the camera before executing the perfect slide.

(I've decided to be Zen Haaland over the call because Grealish not finishing could have led to a whole lot of real bad shit.)
