I really want video of the last offensive coordinator's reaction to watching what happens when you give James Cook a reasonable amount of touches. McDermott should be ashamed of this as well.

James Cook had 297 offensive touches in four years at Georgia. Today was his first 20-carry game since high school

Re: NFL 2023 - Week 15
I’m not sure what would be the better option for Bills fans. Is it better if they make the playoffs and hope (as I said before) that Josh Allen turns into a kaiju for a month? Or them missing the playoffs and McDermott gets the axe, and a real coach takes over and they try to prop the window open? Because before I thought he was holding them back. But after reading that three-part article (the 9/11 article), I realized that if he doesn’t take the responsibility like the article he would, he’s liable to lose the locker room.
When they hired McDermott, I remember thinking it might’ve been a different Sean McDermott. I thought, “wait, it can’t be the same guy who tanked the Eagles’ defense in the late 00s, right?”

Re: NFL 2023 - Week 15
I'm sorry, I'm not sure what this means. Is that an argument against leaving him on the field/getting him the ball? Like, have you watched the way he runs the football...currently? He's been averaging over 5 YPC since he came in. He's got filthy moves and he's like top 3 or 4 in YAC. Like, if you're saying James Cook isn't a back who should get 20 carries, the extremely small sample size isn't doing you any favors.Brontoburglar wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 8:10 pm James Cook had 297 offensive touches in four years at Georgia. Jaguars are gonna get roasted for not spiking it there at the end of the first half, but that's not the problem. it was throwing to a flat route like that where the receiver can be tackled in bounds

Re: NFL 2023 - Week 15
Outrageously bad play calling by previous OC Ken Dorsey.
In his season and a half at the helm you never saw a run-first mentality, even when it was working. Like he thought that the only reason to run at all was to set up a long pass into double coverage.

Absolutely wild that the first QB to put up a perfect game at Lambeau as a visitor was Baker Mayfield.

I mean you could have said this last year about Tony Pollard and it does seem like there's something to not overworking these midgets but I'm also not taking him off the field for 57 year old Latavius Murray.Jerloma wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 8:40 pmI'm sorry, I'm not sure what this means. Jahmyr Gibbs will likely become another test case. Like there's no reason not to give him every tough, within reason.

maybe MISTER Pegula could co-hire them to run some shit across town for the Sabres. i.e. that "other" team he bought and forgot about.
(entire organization has turned a former hockey crazed city into one of complete and utter apathy. I have watched 1 sabres game this year and don't even think about them anymore. thanks terry.)
but keeping it relevant, I have started not just watching but actually planning to watch Bills games again. And yesterday was especially joyous not because of the win but because i didn't have to hear tony romo.

Ruined him? Does he need another big free agent offensive piece to function now?degenerasian wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 11:16 am24 years old...i think he will be fine, but the NFL is like no other sport in ruining young guys.

Suspended for the rest of the season.Jerloma wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 1:32 am I don't know guys. The Steelers really have had so many chances to avoid unnecessary roughness penalties this year that they inevitably just commit anyway and it never gets fucking rectified, and this one looks particularly brutal (I also have Pittman on my fantasy team so even worse), but does anyone have any thoughts on what he was supposed to do here? The target seems clearly to be shoulder at ball. You just have the ex-factor of the receiver flying horizontally through the air. The penalty is completely fair, but for that to be an ejectable offense, doesn't intent matter? Like at what point after Pittman dives does he actually have time to switch to a different tactic?
(and Minkah is hurt, can anyone here play safety?)

Lawrence was considered the best prospect since Luck by a lot of people, and it seems to me like most just kind of assume that he's already some elite QB.

I mean, he's not bad. Looks like an above average starter to me. But not great. I'd love to have him in Pittsburgh. But he's not yet the star he was projected to be after that freshman year at Clemson.Gunpowder wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 2:38 pmdegenerasian wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 1:12 pmWho is the last high pick QB that was generational?
