Wasted a lot of time.

Had to take off my cans to eavesdrop on a conspiracy convo happening behind me at a coffee shop. It started benignly enough with "Boulder is the shadow government of Colorado" and morphed into "modern society suppresses our ability to recognize ogres, trolls, and fairies among us but Native Americans can still communicate with them."

The dumbest fun one we did was like 12 years after HS graduation, four of us sat in a circle (with an audience) and tried to name everyone in our graduating class of like 90. Early part flies through but then you start to get into "remember this person" and shit and the one we couldn't remember at all became Mrs. Irrelevant to this day.Nonlinear FC wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 1:44 pmI mean... I used to love those! Only had them a few times, but I'm convinced I remember exactly what they taste like. I'm also thinking I'd find them too sweet as an adult.

If you want to compare them to good cornbread, yeah, it's going to suck. I'm going to look for these and pick them up if I see them. If any of the stores I go to carry it, I certainly haven't noticed. My other memory of them is the texture. Supernaturally smooth.

Re: Random Thoughts About Thoughts Random
not sure what other thread to place this (I know we have tossed around misheard lyrics a bunch of places) but have been for some reason wondering about The Cars' Bye Bye Love lyrics and it occurred to me the lyric in the chorus really can't be "it's just a fucking alibi" so I looked it up and it is actually "it's just a broken lullabye" which, sure, altho "it's just a fucking alibi" would have hit so much harder, really...

I just learned by listening to the Beatles channel that Admiral Halsey didn't in fact, "need a bath or he couldn't get to sleep" he needed a "berth or he couldn't get to sea".

I saw it driving down the street while walking our dog in the morning last weekend, then at our son's school last night (too dark) and this morning (just right). With the recent spate of articles about "how to keep your Cybertruck from corroding on the outside", I found it to be a particularly curious decision to purchase in the local climate and its accompanying road safety measures.Johnnie wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 4:58 pmA buddy from my first base bought one. Saw one in the wild a few weeks ago. Just a stupid, stupid automobile. There were fingerprint marks all over it, and it definitely made some weird "transmission" sounds as it was driving. Since there isn't a transmission in that car, maybe it was suspension noise? Who knows?DSafetyGuy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 5:13 pmI saw it driving down the street while walking our dog in the morning last weekend, then at our son's school last night (too dark) and this morning (just right).
