I didn't think that would be right, I was just doing process of elimination. Just looked and the border is way smaller than I would have guessed.

I think the answer needs to be revisited, because of Artificial Island.

Yeah I think I probably should have phrased the question, "What two states share a land border but aren't connected by a paved road?"

It's not the answer I was looking for, it it does count it's ambiguous as to whether it would be the first. So I'm gonna say no.

I guess the Federal Government can't really grant itself land?

Sounds like it's more of an opinion from Rutgers, because while it was formed prior to the answer I'm seeking, it did not become a land-grant school until the 1860s.
