Is Thibs a great defensive coach or does he simply force teams to trade anyone who defensively sucks or doesn't fit his system?

(Real question, I'm only thinking about Toppin and Quickley in NY.)

Based on Minnesota, it's not the "forcing teams to trade bad defensive players" thing. At the same time, it is smart to build your roster to what your coach wants to do when he has a system with Thibs' track record of success.

I lean toward strong defensive coach.

And Zach Lowe's podcast from yesterday with Tim Legler talk about the Knicks/Anunoby for a few minutes, starting around the 14-minute mark.

I remember Marion was a top two or three overall in Yahoo fantasy's pre-season rankings for a few years in a row in the 7 Seconds or Less era.
