In Philadelphia we were on that line but in the balcony. Had a great view of Bryan over Matt's right shoulder.

Gonna post a few videos on Instagram soon. My phone battery was low and I had no charger, so only Beths stuff was posted last night.

Yesterday release. Both would have been top half of the new album.

Couldn’t put Alien and Space Invader on the same album. Picked the wrong one?

Like I feel like Weird Goodbyes and New Order T-Shirt overlap a bit.

It was a really great show but would have been better if I hadn’t seen them play a pretty similar set a few weeks earlier. And if there had been a way to simply not have to wake up on Saturday before ~4:30 PM.

I'm on "Hornets" and I have so many questions about how this turned into two albums and why the second one is better and were a lot of these songs initially shelved for being even sadder than usual and how good would a single album have been if I were in charge of songs and sequencing?

F2PoF:
Once Upon a Poolside
This Isn't Helping
Tropic Morning News
Alien
Grease in Your Hair

Laugh Track:
Alphabet City
Deep End (Paul's in Pieces)
Weird Goodbyes
Turn Off the House
Laugh Track
Space Invader
Hornets

Looks like an almost even split, right? Well no! If this expanded to 15 songs, the next three all come off Laugh Track: "Crumble" is a great song, easily in the top 12, but that should be in a movie and not on an album. The last two cuts were "Dreaming" and "Tour Manager", both of which might be safely in once I've had more time to listen.

Opener is "Once Upon a Poolside", closer is "Space Invader", I'll figure out the 2-11 order eventually.

Two issues: (1) F2PoF just had way too many nouns for me and this song is obviously big on them and (2) my youngest absolutely mocks the shit out of it (essentially yells back at the song as the other person in the fight who also doesn't want any of their shit) which has colored how I hear it. When I took my oldest to see them in Philadelphia she was almost in tears laughing because Berninger was so intense during it and she was picturing her sister screaming back at him.

Also, its placement before "New Order T-Shirt" on the album, another noun song, makes absolutely no sense.

I've typed out and erased a response a few times because I feel too open to ridicule.

(But I read that article yesterday and it misses the entire point of the fanbase!)

THE NATIONAL LYRICS OR THINGS MY DAD SAYS WHILE REFUSING TO CHECK GOOGLE MAPS?

It's a quiz...
1. “Go back to sleep, let me drive, let me think, let me figure it out.”

2. “I can’t get around the river in front of me.”

Given the fact they're all one night stops and they're only the co-headliners, this is going to be a pretty static setlist, right? Like how I kinda hope War on Drugs hits all the classics, they have to be cognizant of the other side's fans in the same way?

Yeah, I'm guessing this'll be a play the hits type set for both. Which is fine by me. Have you seen War on Drugs before? They're great live.

If you like tiki bars, there’s an excellent one in Cuyahoga Falls called Tiki Underground. I’d be more than happy to meet you there and share a cocktail or two. And the brewery near it (HiHo) is pretty good, too.

Have not and somewhere (here?) in the past year I called them my cutoff point (good side) of "I should go see them live, huh".

It's a date! I'm guessing we'll stay in Cleveland. I've got family in Bay Village that we'll probably visit, and my wife spent a ton of time in Cleveland as a kid when her aunt lived in University Heights. She wants to go back and check out that area. Other than that, we're wide open. Are you down closer to Cuyahoga Falls or Cleveland?

I live in Independence, which is a very central location in Cuyahoga County. I’m about 10-15 south of downtown Cleveland and about 25 minutes away from Cuyahoga Falls. Bay Village is 20-25 minutes away, and the University Heights is also about 20 minutes away.

Sounds like you already have solid plans but don’t hesitate to ask for any recommendations while you’re in town.

I would love to meet up. Just have a couple spots to make sure to hit. And a tiki bar sounds fantastic.

Just got our tickets for Oct 1st.

Don't miss out on Lucious as the opening act. Seen them a few times, and they are great. And they've been doing a lot of touring/recording with Brandi Carlile as backing vocals.
