SEASON-LONG REMINDERS

-Each week consists of 10 questions (5 sports, 5 not). The Swamper Bowl will have 20 questions.
-I'll post questions here and email them to the group. Make sure you DO NOT REPLY ALL if answering by email
-No Googling, No Doubt
-Answer every week, even when your NFL team has a bye

SCORING

-Correct answers get a score equal to the number of people who said it
-Wrong answers get the value of the highest-scoring correct answer +5
-If you're the only player with a one-pointer, you are credited with a score of -1
-Low score wins
-Weekly ties will be broken by best score in Q10, Q9, etc.
-Standings, tiebreakers and playoff matchups all determined exactly as they would be in the real NFL

INSTRUCTIONS

-Send answers to ryantfriedman (gmail, and don't forget the middle initial T) or private message here
-Unless you're giving something away by asking, bring up any questions or clarifications in the weekly thread so everyone can see the answer. I will NOT be emailing any important updates to questions that may affect answers, so it's on you to keep up before submitting

SWAMPER BOWL QUESTIONS

1. COLLEGE BASKETBALLOGRPAHY
Name one of the schools whose main campus location is listed below - they are the nine D1 Men's College Basketball programs with at least 1,500 losses (9)

Lexington

2. FOOD & DRINK
Name a meat or cheese included without asking on any COLD SUB on Jersey Mike's current main menu (10)

3. NHL
Name any NHL player to score 50+ goals in a season before their age-23 year since Mario Lemieux, Steve Yzerman, and 5 other guys did it in 1987-88 (10)
NOTE: Age determined as of January 31st of each season. Lemieux and Yzerman aged out before they could score 50 again, but some of the "other guys" from that year may still qualify

4. MOVIES
Name one of the actresses pictured below, all of which were the stars of either Blue Crush, Spring Breakers, or Josie and the Pussycats (9)

5. SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT
Name any male (12) or female (4) multiple-time winner of Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Wrestler of the Year award (16)

6. THEATRE
Name any Broadway musical whose Playbill is partially pictured below (9)

7. COLLEGE FOOTBALL
Name the head coach of a team that played in the College Football Playoffs since and including the conclusion of the 2017-2018 season (12)

8. YOU
Name any of the bones that make up either the ear, shoulder, or spinal column (10)
NOTE: There are five answers for the spinal column - 2 are distinctly separate bones and 3 are categories of vertebrae

9. GENERAL SPORTS
Name one of the 3 teams in either the MLB, NFL, NBA, or NHL with the fewest Twitter followers on their official account (12)

10. MISCELLANEOUS
According to the MIT Collective Learning Group's "Pantheon" project, the three most memorable people in world history are Muhammad, Sir Isaac Newton, and Jesus. Name someone in the top 300 whose occupation is listed as "Composer" (12)

11. BASEBALLOGRAPHY
Name any baseball player pictured below. They are all the all-time leaders in hits for one of the 11 least populated U.S. states (9)
NOTE: I didn't do just the 9 least populated states because New Hampshire and Maine are (appropriately) old and impossible

12. TELEVISION
In 2000, Jenna Elfman received her 3rd and final Emmy nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy for her role in Dharma & Greg. Name another actress SINCE THEN to be nominated while playing a character whose first and/or last name appear(ed) in the title of the show (11)
NOTE: I'm disqualifying Amy Schumer (Inside Amy Schumer) and Sarah Silverman (The Sarah Silverman Program). The rest have names distinct from their character

13. SOCCEROGRAPHY
Name any current Premier League club located NORTH of the 7 London-based teams (11)

14. SCIENCE
Name an element of the periodic table unique to one of the descriptions below (8)

The first element with a known discovery date - it was isolated from urine in 1669
Colorless and odorless noble gas whose name means "hidden one"
Transition metal that is alphabetically last among all elements
The most recently discovered element that can actually be found on Earth - it was named for a Titan of Greek mythology
The only element named after someone born in Sweden and the highest-numbered element whose symbol is a valid 2-letter word
First isolated in 1807 by electrolyzing lye by Sir Humphry Davy just days after he similarly isolated Potassium from potash
The most recently discovered element - it was named by an American scientist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory
Popularly used in solar panels, the largest town in Colorado's San Miguel County was named for it in hopes of a mineral strike

15. TENNIS
Name one of the 8 most recent non-Williams Sisters to win a women's singles Grand Slam that was born in AND represented the United States (8)
NOTE: I count at least 4 people who only fit half of the definition for that second rule. No, I won't tell you how far back this starts

16. MUSIC
Name the ARTIST or BAND being parodied in any of the Weird Al Yankovic songs listed below (9)
NOTE: The listed year refers to the Weird Al song release date

Inactive (2014)
Yoda (1985)
Taco Grande (1992)
Alimony (1988)
King of Suede (1984)
White & Nerdy (2006)
Gump (1996)
Livin' in the Fridge (1993)
Ricky (1983)

17. OLYMPICS BY PERD HAPLEY
Name any of the Olympians pictured below, who are all Olympians that I remember (9)

18. GEOGRAPHYOGRAPHY
Name one of the 6th-15th most-populated capital cities of Europe WHEN RANKED BY METROPOLITAN AREA (10)
NOTE: We're finally not using city limits here because the way some European cities are delineated makes that list a little harder to predict

19. NBA
Name anyone that has won more NBA playoff games while teammates with LeBron James than Iman Shumpert and Anderson Varejao's 42 (10)

20. WORDS
Name a word represented in either the acronym LGBTQIA or NFL (10)
NOTE: Some have multiple interpretations (but don't get silly) and all correct choices will be lumped together

Pre-college me wants to punch current day me in the balls. I'm confident in 8 out of the 9 Playbills, yet I'm only 50% sure I could name one college coach who coached in the playoffs (I know he's a coach), I'm 99% sure I couldn't name a single correct baseball player, and I have no concept of whether my LeBron guess has a shot at being correct, but I got no other guesses.

Bengal, Cheddah, and Enoch all sitting on -1s right now, which, as we all know, grant Money in the Bank style privileges to challenge the winner to a one-question title match at any point during the summer.

Holy shit - I never have a chance at a -1 - if that holds might help me balance out not having any idea and not even making a guess on one of the questions...
