Major League Soccer (MLS) 2024

Post by wlu_lax6 »

Why would LAFC spend $ on Hugo Lloris. Hope they got a great deal. In the MLS spending big $ on a goalie is just the wrong place to put your money.

They got him for nothing. Free transfer and only paying 300K

Not sure if the opener is free, but Messi and Suarez are both playing.

Prediction: Suarez won't see the season out. Either by injury or disinterest. Also don't see Miami as +250 favorites to win the cup (wish I could bet the field). Sure their roster is stacked, but it's a long and grueling season and relying on old guys isn't a great formula in this league. (Just threw a few quid at Columbus to repeat at +900)

Yeah, I mean you kind of saw that even in the limited schedule the old guys played last season.

Plus Messi will have Copa and/or Olympics this summer (more the Or based on what I have read)...and based on the fiasco in Asia when he did not play a few weeks back, there will be pressure to run him to the ground in away games (which have all been priced as a premium) and leagues cup...

I think MIami will win a trophy, but I don’t know which one and it probably won’t be the Supporters’ Shield for all the reasons you’ve mentioned. Tata will do what he did last year—try to squeeze the most out of them at whatever time of year they are healthy. CCC now, Leagues Cup in the summer, MLS Cup in the fall. He’ll go for one of them, and probably get it.

The forecast is for 50 mph winds here tomorrow at noon, with pouring rain and temps dropping from 47 to 32.

Should be a great time in the standing section.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Well, that was something. I’ve never gotten to experience a lightning delay and make snow angels on the field in the same game.

And it’s a good thing we took my car. Otherwise it’d’ve been crushed by the tree across the street.

Glad I did not pay inflated prices for Miami's visit to DC today.

I don't think having a team of ringers play in the US Open Cup (I e turning it.into the Tournament) is what US Soccer wants either. Just helps Don G argue he does not need his first teams to show up.

That being said it is fun to see Landon, BWP, and such lace them up.
