The Knicks had like four consecutive possessions to hit one of those "oh shit, they're coming back" shots to get within 4-5 and I'm not sure the ball touched the rim.

NBA G-League Ignite team going bye bye. NIL was the stake to the heart.

I'm sorry but we as a nation should be making way more fun of Steph Curry for fucking crying after Draymond was ejected (again!) than we currently are.

Here's another one I like:

Players with 20 PPG/3 APG/3 BPG seasons:

Kareem (7)
Olajuwon (3)
Robinson (3)
Shaq
Lanier
Ewing
Wemby

Lanier was the previous youngest to do it, at 25. If you raise the assists and blocks to 3.5, it's just Olajuwon, Kareem, and Wemby.

ETA: Also, the minutes per game on that first list range from 44 to 36.5 and then Wemby this year is 29.6

I had no idea one could place prop bets on an individual player's performance in a single game. That's just begging for crookedness, especially in the NBA.

Hopefully the feds will investigate everyone Porter dealt with. You know he's not the only one to take a dive to help someone win a bet.

(But it sure was funny when that guy deliberately missed his free throw so the fans could get chicken.)
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

I feel like this was an issue that was raised in some NCAA games or teams as well. Maybe?

This is going to be an even bigger mess when its not a player trying to make money for himself or friends but is completely innocent and seriously threatened.

Aside from potential turnover situations, the Knicks shouldn’t call a single timeout in this series and see just how gassed they can leave Embiid.

The team that took out Julius Randle in a blowout loss might have also tried to take out Tatum in a blowout loss? Who would believe that?

My guess is he took a minimal push as an excuse to run into Tatum. The push gives him deniability, but if that was one of his teammates in the air, he would have managed to avoid hitting him.

I can't believe I turned it off the Knicks once they were down 4 and just fouled. At least I did get to see the Canes comeback.

The guy is running to the rim for an offensive rebound. Gets shoved with two hands by Holiday such that his body leans forward and weight gets out in front of him. Regains balance but still jumps for rebound and undercuts Tatum. Could be that he always intended to body Tatum without the push he jumps a step earlier and hits Tatum higher on his body and its just like every other fight for a board.

Romero's point is dead on and applies to so many things ("incidental" open ice collisions in hockey, Rudiger on KDB, etc) ... no one is arguing there wasn't add'l contact or that it was a fully controlled move, but "could more have been done to avoid the contact if it was going into a teammate rather than an opponent". I'd argue he felt the push and used it to go barreling knowing he's covered.

I cannot imagine what happens if a Knicks player does that to Embiid.

Cameron Payne looks like he’s standing sideways when he shoots a 3. That’s what I do when I’m drunk and I play darts and I suck at darts.

Which play? The leg grab while laying under the basket? Or the oops knee to the groin?

And now he’s out. Just put a foot under Embiid on his next jumper and call it even.
