Yeah, that one stood out to me too. If they didn't play in a division with Jacksonville and Tennessee, I'd be all over it, but if they can duct tape a QB situation together, they can win a few low-scoring games this year.
If their line plays better than it did last year and Foster's healthy, I can see Fitzpatrick being good enough to manage to outscore the other offense. The defense should be pretty phenomenal.
Defense yes, Fitzpatrick - a resounding "no".

Discuss ancient history? Like the first Obama election. Or the factors behind the economic collapse of 2008. They'd probably enjoy hearing about this from someone who lived through it, as an adult.

It may just be the earliest kick to the balls that Bills fans have experienced. Usually this sort of thing happens around week 3.

This will really help as he tries to not be suspended for the entire season.

I still have to keep him, as he is costing me an 8th or 9th Round pick to keep. Will be 6th or 7th next year. So pissed. What a fucking dumbass. He must have some mental issues. Have him sit in a room with Brandon Marshall for a couple hours and fix this shit.

Sure, but when you were suspended last year and waiting for word on whether you will be suspended for the entire season this year? Get a designated driver, a taxi, or don't drink. Don't most teams provide a car service home when players drink? I know the Jets do.

He should be suspended for life, just like Jared Allen.

Yeah this was pretty stupid but it's not like DUIs from people in their 20s who aren't completely hammered and can also afford taxis are rare. I'm sure everybody knows somebody that has one.

I don't think it's that big of a deal, and I think suspending for off-season marijuana smoking is insane. The league shouldn't care about any drugs that aren't PEDs. A team might want to suspend a player for it, as I can't imagine smoking pot is good for your cardio fitness and lung capacity. I have a lot of friends who are or were drunken idiots, but I can't think of any who admitted to a DUI.

A nice touch to the Josh Gordon story is that the dude who bailed him out is a local guy who was tied to a lot of the recent troubles at UNC - and the reason PJ Hairston didn't get to play basketball this year. He loaned nice cars to athletes and also arranged a strange deal to provide custom mouth guards to some players. The dude has a long rap sheet and is generally believed to be tied to one or more agents as a runner.

I have no idea how he knows Josh Gordon, but it's not a good thing.

That's perfect, because PJ got pulled over multiple times while driving Fats's cars.

I wonder if Gordon was also enrolled in summer classes in UNC's African American department?

Oh, I forgot to add this to the Gordon/Hairston story - yesterday, PJ was arrested in Durham after punching a high school kid in pickup game at the Y.

Quite a weekend for PJ! (sorry, this is turning into the NBA offseason thread, but whata ya gonna do?)

At least Tim Couch, Brady Quinn and Brandon Weeden's red flags only began flying when they threw their first NFL pass.

And none of them were photographed rolling up bills in a washroom.

I still think Tim Couch got a raw deal on really bad teams. He's unfortunately the best QB the Browns have had since they came back.

All they had to do was give him an incentive to earn back money that I think counts against their cap anyway. Then he'd have actual motivation this year even with the shitty QB situation. That, to me, was a colossal fuck-up.
