Re: NCAA Basketball 24-25
I cannot believe that Duke blew that game. It was over...
Re: NCAA Basketball 24-25
It’s almost worth the paving over the hellscape that is Houston.
Is that the worst choke job in NCAA Final Four History? Does Cooper Flagg testicles descend in time to be the #1 pick in the NBA draft in a couple months? Or, does his cuckolded situation require a return to campus?
I don’t care.
The world is on fire, my 401k is charred, but Duke fucking lost.
It aint all bad.

There’s lots of worse places than Houston. And, it voted blue.

Duke's Maluach played last night after his student visa was canceled. He's from South Sudan.
Can't wait to see how far that goes.

You would think they would not want that smoke
Re: NCAA Basketball 24-25
If "that smoke" is Duke's alumni throwing up human shields for a 9 ppg kid from Sudan, I think the (other) republicans are probably safe.

Syracuse has brought in transfers from Canada and Guinea, as well as an incoming freshman from Australia. Very curious to see how far this will go.

Reminds me of the old Jerry Tarkanian joke. He said “The NCAA is really pissed at Kentucky. And, they are going to prove it by adding two more years of probation on Cleveland State.”DSafetyGuy wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 10:53 amI know you're joking, but they canceled visas for every student from South Sudan.A_B wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 9:47 amAs long as they don't protest, they should be fine.DSafetyGuy wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 8:34 amSyracuse has brought in transfers from Canada and Guinea, as well as an incoming freshman from Australia. Canada and Australia probably ok but kid from Guinea may have a pigmentation issue for this administration.

MI adds Yaxel Lendeborg from UAB... The #1 dude in the portal, who will likely be drafted in the second round, so MI is just a back-up plan.

That's like the old joke that Pitino got so mad at Jamal Mashburn once that Richie Farmer had to do an hour's worth of wind sprints after practice.sancarlos wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 12:16 pmReminds me of the old Jerry Tarkanian joke. Maybe drop the “The Road Ends Here” signage from the Jumbotron while showing a memorial and asking for a moment of silence.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.

He should have touched it again, at least the clock would stop.

Re: NCAA Basketball 24-25
Good grief. Swat the ball out of bounds if you can’t touch the ball again. At least the game moves on.

I was thinking same since they were down two but admittedly I didn’t think about it during the time frame he would have had to do so.degenerasian wrote: Mon Apr 07, 2025 10:12 pm He should have touched it again, at least the clock would stop.

Re: NCAA Basketball 24-25
Don't forget Taurean Green.
I mean, the university claimed that since Golden's alleged sexual harassment had not "occurred within a university program or activity," they couldn't act on it.
Which is some extremely cowardly shit for a university that had Ben Sasse as president for almost 18 months, during which time he hired a bunch of people with zero experience into positions where they were stunningly overpaid.

Re: NCAA Basketball 24-25
The technical foul called on the Florida Bench worked. That was the game changer.
And Houston pretty much fell apart the last couple of minutes.

Re: NCAA Basketball 24-25
Shit happens and it was two pretty evenly matched teams. I think Houston's biggest mistake was going to a complete slowdown at about 8 minutes to go. I know they aren't a fast-paced team on the best of nights, but that offense isn't built for standing around and then trying to get a good shot in 7 seconds. Cal does this (and lost because of it in this tournament) in a different way, but it completely changes the way the team got the lead and mucks it all up.
