Not the lead singers first band?
Meat Puppets had such an underrated one-hit in the 90s.

Re: Gunpowder's Gold Star Trivia
I was thinking of something like this, but couldn't quite make it work. Several of those bands changed lead singers, or the original lead singer was more (or maybe equally) famous for another band. But I don't think it works for all - like the Meat Puppets.Giff wrote:Not the lead singers first band?
Totally Kafkaesque
Re: Gunpowder's Gold Star Trivia
They all had a song whose title is their name.

A fairly tame one...
Who is the active leader in strikeouts among pitchers who have never started an MLB game? Second place is as close to #29 as he is to #1

Great question (I looked it up). Who knew there are now Butkus awards for the NFL and High School?Gunpowder wrote:The Butkus Award is given annually to the NCAA's top linebacker, as voted by votery people.
Who is the only player to have won the award twice?
Part II: Who is the only NFL player to win 2 "Professional" Butkus awards?
Part III: Who is the only person to win both the HS award and NCAA award?

There's a high school award? I'd guess DJ Williams
And Ray Lewis's bitch ass for professional. 2nd guess is Patrick Willis, 3rd guess is going to look it up.

I'm putting the name Bosworth out there as well as Cousineau.

Weeb Ewbank and Dick Vermeil are the only two coaches in the Super Bowl era with this distinction. What is it?

How about they both have career records as NFL coaches under .500?

Re: Gunpowder's Gold Star Trivia
Close enough. Specifically, they are the only two coaches to have led a team to a Super Bowl victory while having a losing record for their overall tenure with that team. Ewbank was 71-77-6 with the Jets and Vermeil was 22-26 with the Rams. Both had winning records with the other teams they coached.Gunpowder wrote:Only SB winners under .500?
