Yeah. Dammit. Had the game on. It looked awful. The Jays just announced that it is a "sprain" . . . but that looked like a severe sprain. If Toronto didn't have bad luck they'd have no luck at all.

Yep. It was a very late decision, too late, to slide into second. And it wasn't his lead leg's ankle that rolled, which one might expect, but his underside trail leg's ankle; compounded by his own weight being on top of it.

It was much worse in high definition; there was at least an instant or two where his ankle, clearly visible, was pointing in a bizarre direction that ankles just are not supposed to point.

I know Reyes can go on his own but I'm not too sure stealing 2nd up 8-4 with 2 outs in the smartest thing in the world.

Mother fucking triple plays.

Adam Jones needs to catch fly balls with the bases loaded and 2 outs.

Their is no proof that Greinke didnt hit Quentin on purpose, so I think its a reasonable topic to debate.

Hey Steve~

You catch any of this series? Weird, tense one-run games so far. Cubs smashing hanging splits from Timmay today; 4-1 thru 2.5

I'm just following enough to know that the Cubs are horrible. I don't know how many big leads they've blown this season, but it's been a ton. Including today.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

A severe sprain is worse than a break in many instances. 15 months later, my left ankle is still swollen and I've lost a step. Surgery is not worth it for me but is a must for a pro athlete with a grade III sprain.

After 2 weeks, the bottom 4 qualifying outfielders in our fantasy league are BJ Upton, Jason Heyward, Matt Kemp, and Giancarlo Stanton.

Tonight is the first time that a BlueJays pitcher made it through seven innings this season.

Not Dickey, not Morrow, not Buehrle. Josh Johnson. And he left after seven in a tied game. But, damn. 6'7" and throwing 96 MPH? Pigeons beware.

If you're watching highlights, keep an eye open for the Brett Lawrie bare-handed 5-3. It's magnificent.

Homer Bailey was dealing last night. Shame that it had to get suspended. 0-0 tie in the ninth.

Also, Joey Votto has more walks than all but 9 players have hits this season. Again, with Phillips Raking and Cozart pretty much a complete offensive zero, there should be no reason votto hits #2 and phillips #3.

Oh, and because it finished so late last night not a lot of chatter about the epic Tigers/Mariners game last night where both teams combined for 40 strikeouts (second-most in a game in the live ball era). Scherzer and King Felix were dealing.

Small sample size, but Scherzer's 14.2 K/9 implies that this could be the season he takes The Leap.
