Are you saying he's incorrect? Cause I'd be on the side of more stop and go, unscheduled delays and idiots surrounding me rather than free sailing all night long.

Yeah but why is he singing about it like it's awesome and he can't wait to do that all day?
He's canadian. All he has to worry about is dodging moose droppings and or moose.

Seriously. This makes a huge difference. Stick to the highways at night, you are cruising at high speeds, free as a bird. Life is good on the open road. Tom Cochrane ain't driving life at rush hour like a working stiff. He is rocking life like a late night open road drive, mother fucker. All. Night. Long.

Tom Cochrane could have saved the Swamp if he had made it through all of those cities and all of those towns and gotten here two days earlier.

There is a traffic jam on the south side of the Big Dig on 93 at all hours of the day. When I was living in Dorchester I came home once at 4 AM Saturday morning and it took me 35 minutes to get from the tunnel entrance to my exit...two miles away.

And a traffic jam at the 93/95 shit show right outside Boston all the time as well. That bad boy was designed and built for 50s traffic and it shows.

CNN's liveblog does not mention the bomb threat at the courthouse, but does have this note:
[Updated at 2:23 p.m. ET] As news of an arrest spreads, a crowd has been gathering outside a federal courthouse in Boston.

Just jitters. Typical post-disaster jitters, these two evacs today (Fed courthouse and Brigham/Womens' Hospital). Were I working there today (in the hospital, in the context of this terrorist murder on Monday) I would literally refuse to interrupt a surgical case in progress in response to an evac order. The odds of jitters vs an actual threat override the odds of interruption harming a patient (of course subject to the details of any given surgical case.)

Nonlinear--no, not for real. The crowd is people who have been evacuated from the courthouse.

Is there a way to figuratively interrupt a surgical procedure?

Sorry AB. I do that a lot with 'literally'. But people tend to underestimate my use of the words 'I refuse'. Over and over. I don't get it. Then they get upset when they recognize that to me, refuse means, 'oh shit, that nigga really means it'.

The bomb threat had to be a smokescreen to bring someone in, right? Listening to the WCVB broadcast, at least one judge went into the building while it was still "being cleared". Probably why there were so many conflicting reports about an arrest, it wasn't supposed to be public yet.

I dunno man. They don't have an underground garage? They've got to scare the shit out of hundreds of people, not just here but also a local hospital?

I had the bloomberg tv on in the background this afternoon. I heard them talking about some extensive measures they routinely use to screen Congress' mail offsite. Includes xray imaging, chemical screening, irradiation, a lot of shit I had never though about or considered. I wasn't paying close attention.

Really, I wasn't. I wasn't paying any attention and I definitely wasn't taking notes.
