We have everyone except JYD. This week set a record for most number of wrong answers due to reading the question wrong. I also think Diamond came up with the most devious question that was probably still fair enough to be included. I'm stalling while I'm taking a dump, if you haven't noticed.

I'm psyched but a little surprised to get that "honor". I always thought of the 100m free as the marquee event in swimming, certainly not at a level w/100m in track and field but a high-profile event. Granted, I've never heard of the guy I answered but there's some well-known names here.

F. Like Diamond needed more of an advantage against me. I had 4 choices to choose between. All of them wrong, which is probably why it's devious. The most famous Olympic swimmers in the past 3 or 4 games did not win the 100m free.

Whew! As a former Hurricanes coach, he was the only one I could think of (I was blanking on Maurice). I was sure he didn't have 400 wins though.

I went with him because he was a fan favorite in Binghamton in his AHL playing days due to his ability to rack up penalty minutes. I knew he coached the Islanders, had no idea he left, but see he left 12 years ago. WTF? In looking him up, I see he only had 389 wins. doesn't effect my game, sorry Shirley.

I'm so stupid. Despite understanding the partial name thing with the country questions, I didn't think to separate Marshall and Solomon from Islands. Or St. from Vincent. Not as stupid as BSF and JLo, though.

I'm wowed by most of the correct answers to the country = name question. And I wouldn't have even been sure that St. Vincent, St. Lucia, Marshall & Soloman, and William & Mary were countries. The one I'm most annoyed about is Georgia. How could that not have crossed my mind? There was even the Ray Charles song. This was my dumbest of several dumb and/or overly-clever answers this time.

Perhaps because I was busy violating my usual rules for success, by going with the first thing I thought of. Just couldn't get this song out of my mind. So I dropped my other almost-certain options (India, Ireland, Israel) for the more clever one.



Lesson learned. Next week it's back to the fundamentals. First, get the question right. Second, don't be clever. Third, get spontaneously tagged a cool but terrifying nickname.
