I think too much is made of weather where O/U is concerned. The Lions and Eagles played a game that hit 54 last year in a snowstorm that dumped 6 inches of snow during the game and rendered passing almost impossible. There's valid reasons to think 60 is too high, but weather isn't super high on the list.

The reason turned out to be Green Bay having an unstoppable offense until getting to the redzone. Aaron Rodgers was impressive -- maybe having a healthy Chandler Jones providing some pressure would have helped and I thought the Pats should have tried to run more.

Also, the awesome awfulness of the Bengals somehow winning yesterday in spite of their best efforts to not win was encapsulated by Marvin's going onside kick with two minutes to go in the 3rd quarter after the Bengals had finally taken a lead at 14-10. Against a team that could not move the ball more than 30 yards, Lewis was all, "Hey, let's risk a short field here". Well done, coach.

I thought Marvin's challenge ploy was completely acceptable. The outcry should be over how refs are unable to count to 11 (or 12). Ed Hochuli's crew struggled with their counting yesterday too.

The rest of the game? A comedy of coaching weirdness from him. Supposedly Dalton was up all night with the flu, puking repeatedly (literally, not just figuratively), and was throwing up as they were taking the field. Maybe, just maybe, start Campbell? And, if you don't think Campbell can handle starting against the Bucs in that situation, why in the fuck do you have him on your team?

And, then, oh, hey, onside kick weirdness. And not using a timeout when you had three and the ball and a running clock at 36 seconds on the Tampa 39 and instead rushing a play that yielded yet another INT.

But, yeah, Marvin did well there at the end.

As for the rest of it Pruitt, the AFC North as a whole is not a bad division, no matter how you slice it. There just isn't a dominant team like the Pats or Packers or Broncos etc. But there are four good teams of varying degrees.

Hey - when I said that Lewis cheated, I actually meant it as a compliment. He takes a lot of stick, but that was a heads up move by Lewis.

And I have seen quite enough of the Browns this year to say that, no they are not by any means a good team. Against Buffalo, Houston, Jacksonville and even Oakland, they were simply not ready to play. Give credit to the Bills defence, and I'm happy that they have managed to avoid a 10 loss season, but feh.

And the Steelers are also not worthy of playoff consideration. Which is funny.

Nobody riveted by this MNF game? Tied game, less than 5 minutes to go? C'mon, man! I really can't decide if I am rooting for or against the Jets. I want a better draft pick, but it's still the Dolphins. So torn, but knowing the Jets will give the game away is comforting.

Hoyer was pulled with 12:01 left, after he had thrown two interceptions and the Browns had scored three points. Hoyer said on the first interception he expected Josh Gordon to cross in front of a safety and threw it that way, but Gordon took the route deep.

Rubs me the wrong way. Yeah, there was some clear miscommunication. Don't bring up something your teammate said that makes you look better. Be the QB. Just one of my pet peeves. I hate it when Peyton does it, too. No matter how HOF worthy you are the QB shouldn't shift the blame like that.

If the coach wants to come out and say that the receivers made the wrong read, that's fine. But the QB should have his guys backs...and yes, the receivers should have their QBs backs too. But the QB shouldn't use something the WR said to him in a way that deflects blame.

Hell, anyone who suffered through that Bills game or the Texans game a few weeks ago can tell you that Hoyer is nothing special. He has thrown too many crappy passes in the past few weeks. At best, he is the new Ryan Fitzpatrick.

The fact that the team has already won seven games is a bonus - clearly, Manziel is the future, and almost as clearly, Hoyer is in panic mode. Throw the best player on the offence under the bus and the rest of the locker room (to sport a cliche) is going to be lost. So if the Browns put in the rookie who shows flashes while the team comes in at 8-8, I think the fans will be okay with that.

And Peyton may be a prick, but he is one of the all time greats. Comments like these from a poor man's Kyle Orton are ridiculous.
