Question about PMs
Not sure if this is the proper spot for an Admin question, but I'm having problems sending PMs. Seems like they just sit in the Outbox. One went, others didn't. But even the one that went is sitting in the Outbox. Is there a send button I am missing? Or a setting recipients may have blocked PMs or something?

I think they sit in the outbox until they are read by the recipient. The Sybian wrote:Not sure if this is the proper spot for an Admin question, but I'm having problems sending PMs. Seems like they just sit in the Outbox. Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

I think you can delete a PM in the outbox too before a recipient reads it

Re: Question about PMs
I was really hoping his was going to contain clips from 'Question Time' for PMs in various Parliaments.

Re: Question about PMs
This is worth learning. This is what happens when your PM Inbox is full:
And that "Release all on hold" message? It doesn't delete them. That's just the way phpBB phrases it. So if you clear up some space and then "release on hold messages" you'll get the PM(s) that are waiting for you.
Instead of someone being unable to PM you, you get a nice little message saying that messages are "on hold" until you clear up some space. Neat, eh? Gone are the days of having to go to the board with "Hey, Joe, your PM box is full".Folder is 100% full (50 from 50 messages stored)
50 messages • Page 1 of 2 • 12
You have 1 private message currently on hold because of full folder.
Release all on-hold messages… they will be re-sorted into the appropriate folder if enough space is made available.

I still haven't gotten it.

Re: Question about PMs
Fortunately BFJ taught me that I could withdraw a PM before you read it. My hormones got the best of me this time of the month, and I said some things I might have regretted.Jerloma wrote:I still haven't gotten it.
