Nice hand, Brian. I completely missed that you also hit the flush.

That guy made the same mistake I've made a couple of times. He bet way too low preflop. If he had bet bigger, you surely would have folded. He wouldn't have won as much, but he would still be playing.

Yeah, KK guy wasn't even the guy who raised preflop. But since I had money in the blind I could definitely stand to see a flop with suited connectors. The only hand I was worried about was if anyone had a higher flush draw (though I would counterfeit it with the 7d for a straight flush). And lo and behold the flush got there. I would have been out if any moron had been hanging around with Jd 2d or something like that.

yeah you have to re-raise with big pockets to isolate the original raiser. You don't want KK 3 or 4 handed.

Edit:

! 01/11/15 19:28:38! Dealing a new hand
! 01/11/15 19:28:38! Everyone antes $100
! 01/11/15 19:28:38! Tilt Master blinds $400
! 01/11/15 19:28:38! Swamper Brian blinds $800
! 01/12/15 06:14:04! Morgan Clark raises $1200
! 01/12/15 06:14:04! Ed Kearns folds
! 01/12/15 10:19:11! SongMonk calls
! 01/12/15 10:19:11! Julie Greenberg folds
! 01/12/15 11:52:29! Elmis calls
! 01/12/15 12:15:36! ScoJo folds
! 01/12/15 16:39:48! Tilt Master folds
! 01/12/15 16:40:19! Swamper Brian calls

Actually there was a raiser and a caller. Elmis KK has to push. Even if everyone folds he wins $4000.
Because he didn't, it's a definite call for Brian in the BB. An extra $1600 with $8800 in the pot.

Yup. I missed that it wasn't the original raiser. I'm sure Elmis thought he was being clever by slow-playing that.

Just in the context of this thread. Bengal and I got eliminated on KK and Brian just ran over a guy with KK.

I just hit a big all-in to get to 115k. Some guy jammed with TT and I called with AQ and flopped an ace.

You have nothing to worry about from me. If you want to undo. I'm just sick of this tournament!

Damn, bfj got rivered. The other guy called an all-in with nothing but an inside straight draw. He hit a pair on the river to pull ahead of bfj.

I was treading water so jammed 88 on the button. Under the gun player had raised early and showed KQo, and hit both a K & Q on the board. Sucks to lose out to donkey play.

I'm all in right now. I had a decent run a couple of weeks ago to get up near $50K, but I've been bleeding back down to about $20K. I got my best hole cards of the tourney this hand, so I didn't hesitate to jam. We'll see.

And I'm out. Jammed after the flop when I had top pair but a bad kicker. He also had top pair and a better kicker.

Oh well, there's always next year.

I think Romero is at my table now. Or at least there's a Romero -- maybe not THE Romero.

I survived. Everyone folded, so I only cleared $5700, but it's better than nothing. I'm still under $30K though.
