Clue: THE LOBBY OF THIS LANDMARK HAS AN ART DECO CEILING FRESCO BY EDWARD TRUMBULL CALLED "TRANSPORT AND HUMAN ENDEAVOR"

Answer: What is the Chrysler Building?

So, for many people the first thought is Grand Central, cuz it is one of the coolest public spaces in the city. But, is the Main Concourse really '"the lobby"? And for us New Yorkers who have been there frequently and looked up at the ceiling, we may remember that the painting is of a astronomical night sky, with stars and drawn constellations. The title "Transport and Human Endeavor" doesn't really fit a bunch of stars and zodiac drawings.

So, setting GCT aside, what is the most Art Deco-y building in New York? That is the Pavlovian call Ryan references above. my $.02, the main concourse of GCT is a lobby, and the name "Transport and Human Endeavor" is vague enough to refer to anything, including a painting of the sky. Question wasn't misleading at all so no complaints, but definitely a big time misdirection.

I thought about plays I've seen and then I guessed one of them. It turns out that the one I guessed wasn't right. Then again one time I was Kansas and I heard somebody say this as part of a conversation so I should have remembered it. Maybe next time I'll have better luck.

I wouldn't listen to a Kansan's take on Shakespeare either. As soon as I saw the category, I knew I wasn't getting it. My only chance was if the category was like anSNL celebrity Jeopardy skit: Plays named "________"

(n.b. Richard got a bad rap as a result of this play; he probably did not actually murder his nephews and generally was a much more decent guy than seen in this play.)

I've read the damn thing about a dozen times but for some reason I was convinced it was an incorrect answer and couldn't even come up with a guess in the 30 seconds. So maybe if I was on the actual show I would've written it down but I don't deserve credit in this.

The book is also known as "The Elements of Style by William Strunk and E. B. White" and commonly referred to as 'Strunk and White'. This common use is reflected in the packaging of the book, as illustrated below.

We're gonna accept 'Strunk and White' as a correct answer, although technically White did not begin working on revised and enlarged editions of the book until 1959, after Strunk's death, and the clue cited the original publishing year of 1918. We're getting soft in our old age. Less pedantic too.
